Chapter 8

It was now the night of the ball, all of us teens had gotten ready including makeup and hair Faith and I decided on both have rainbow hair chalk to match our dresses. Our makeup was bright and now we were fully dressed waiting for the vamp limo to arrive. I was so excited to see Cole again.

Our parents told us that when we enter there will be a staircase and we have to go down it, the guys were sitting slouched in their tuxes. I was hoping that i would forget Mason and meet a up with Cole and that suited me just fine.

The limo pulled up infront of our house we locked up and super sped to the limo.

"Off we go!" We said and the ride was only 15 minutes long once we got there ,the place was massive i couldnt believe it the vamp community place was right in front of me. As we got inside we walked down the spiral staircase slowly trying not to trip.

Once we got to a halfway mark every vamp eyes were on us.

"May i present the next generation of the Lockhart family" Grandpa announced as i looked around everybody was wearing masks mine was already on, as i scanned the crowd i noticed a guy my age wearing a modern black suit and mask a man was followed short behind him.

Then i noticed that he scanned the crowd as well as me my eyes fell on to him, this was it i would forget about Mason and meet this guy. He walked up to me, i realised that he looked like Mason but he still looked hansome even with the mask on. I looked around first to see if Cole was there, unfortunately he wasn't.

"Hello, i was wondering if you would like to dance with me?" He said.

"You should go Bliss he looks cute" Faith said whispering into my ear. I nodded in reply and walked off to the dancefloor with him.

I could wait for Cole, he was with two girls at once so why couldn't I just talk to another guy while I waited for him.

We danced to the waltz not saying anything just looking into each others eyes. But the silence broke as we talked.

"Its lovely to meet you" He said. " Hey no fangs!" I looked at him then looked all around everybody else's fangs were out and not afraid.

"Yeah, im um not your typical vamp im more of a individual like my sister, basically different" I said.

"Well i like different" He replied.

I smiled at his responce he liked a different vamp and not a normal one? Perfect for me.

Then we talked as we dance talking about our family and our vamp group. I found out that he was a Pacem as well,perfect match, he didnt say much about his family except that his mother died when he was 11.

After that he led me outside everything was quiet we sat on a bench. We gazed up to the moon to see that it was full.It was a January night cold and dark i couldnt stop shivering.

"Hey are you cold have my jacket" He said. He wrapped it around my arms the shivering went away, i didnt realise the my mask was starting to sweat it didnt bother me cause my face felt warm. I could hear the laughter inside and my parents calling my name.

I still wondered about Cole, maybe he got caught up and couldn't come.

That's what I agreed on.

I told him that we should go somewhere better, we went down an ally until people couldnt see us anymore everything was just right the way it is.

"So what school do you go to?" I asked him.

"Long Beach High School im a Junior" He said. I stared at him he went to my school yet i didnt see him.

"No way i go there too, why havent i seen you before?" I said, then i told him i only started on monday. As we talked we were lost in time i didnt know how long we were there for.

Then we just fell utterly silent he leaned into kiss me then thats when sparks happened, he kissed me so passionately that i had butterflies in my stomach like when i did with Mason.

My mask was starting to burn off so we pulled apart.

"Im sorry my mask its really warm" I said.

"Here let me take it off you" He said. Slowly he pulled my mask off my face trying not to hurt me at the same time. When my mask was fully off, my mysterious lover stared at me.

"Bliss?" He said. So he knew who i was without my mask figures.

"Yeah" I said leaning in again. He kissed me once more and we were lost in the moment just as our first kiss had been like.

After a while i heard noices a man who came in with him appeared again he walked towards us.

"We have to go now" The other man said. Then he pulled my guy away from me my mask on the floor then they ran off i didnt follow i just watched yet i didnt know why i ran after him.

It was like a Cinderella moment except the princess wasn't running away, it was the prince.

Then he left until i couldnt see him anymore far in the distance.
