Chapter 19

My singing with Faith and my alone song gave me a popularity boost like miss Queen Bee type, Faith was also now given a popularity boost because of our duet but not as great as mine. People said hi and great show as I walked past on Monday morning. I smiled in response and laughed.

"Wow, in just 2 songs you have hit the big shot of popularity" Mason said.

"Well let's give credit to Faith as well" I said.

"Thank you Bliss" Faith says.

"How are you coming along with you powers?" Mason asks.

"Good. I'm going to ball to present my powers and myself, grandpa thinks that if I carry on with going to balls I will earn a high status in the Vampire world"

"You already have a high status here" He says.

I smile.

Mary glared at me as we walked past, I just ignored her and carried on. "I want to bite that neck and kill that girl" I snapped.

When we got to class many people clapped at me and when Faith came in too.

"Great show Lockhart" Blake says. He sits down next to me "My number, I know you have your boyfriend but a little bit of cheating can't hurt right?"

I look at him and shake my head "It can't hurt" I say, I knew I wouldn't be calling him later.

"But you did do an amazing performance" He says.

"Thanks, maybe il do another show you never know!" I said.

For the rest of the lesson people kept saying sing us a song but I refused, noticed that Faith quiet then usual I asked if she was ok and she said she was fine. When we got home I had training with Grandpa so i slowly walked downstairs.

We practised for a while up until 8pm we had our dinner in the basement so we could still practise, I learned a few things like holding my ground and boosting the confidence in my power.

Grandpa also told me that I should also have a mental test as well as doing physical tests. He tested me on my posture and balance how to hold my power and focusing on each element raising my fire and making it turn into different tempetures.

"Well we will practise tomorrow now off to bed!" Grandpa said.

"Night Grandpa!"

We practised for the rest of the week as the ball was on Saturday, the only people coming to the ball with me was my Grandpa so it was gonna be boring. A bunch of really old vamps and then there's me not immortal yet so just 16 years old.

"Bliss this is an honour to go to the high council ball!" Faith said as I was getting ready. I had my dress on now it was Saturday. I was wearing the same dress I wore at the welcoming ball so I didn't need to rush anything, I was going to bring my mask and only keep it I'm my purse for good luck.

"I know but I don't want to get too involved, I want to focus on school,my life and social life" I say to her when we are waiting for grandpa.

"Right we better go now the car is right outside so let's go" grandpa says.

I said my goodbyes to my family and I hugged Faith as I was about to go, when we got to the car it was a sleek black Rolls Royce I couldn't believe it. We drove for about 15 minutes until we were down a ally which led to the grand hall. The place was dark, I could hear the music some orchestra some what seemed to be coming from a DJ.

"This is it little one be good" Grandpa said. Then we entered the hall, it was filled with vamps, some grandpas age and some of all mixtures I even saw teens.

"NOW ENTERING BLISS LOCKHART WITH HER GRANDFATHER VLADIMIR SENIOR LOCKHART" The high council announced.

All eyes were on me and Grandpa i was being noticed I had my iPod in my bag and a few sweets unless I didn't like the music or the food. I saw the teens looking at me, some were girls and some were boys then I thought of Mason. I walked over to the teens and they waved at me.

"Hi I'm Bliss" I said to them.

"Hi I'm Vasilisa" The blonde haired girl said. "And this is Cole, Damien, Millie and Rose"

I looked at them, they weren't usual teen vamps they were dressed in modest colours such as black, red and purple. I smiled at Cole, it was strange to see him here after what had happened back at Idaho Falls.

"Right so shall we go and find a quiet lounge?" Millie said. We agreed and I followed as we walked to an empty bar behind the ball. There was a small stereo and a few drinks and tables, my shoes were killing me so I took them off.

"So Bliss how come you were invited to the ball, I was invited because of my family's council relations and Millie's her because her dad an developer and they are building a mansion near here and Cole is going to attend the new boarding school here" Vasilisa said to me.

"Well I'm one of the strongest Vampires at such a young age and my powers grow quickly so I have to show my powers" I said.

"Cool, nice see you back Bliss. I missed ya. So are you performing tonight?" Cole says to me.

I smile and sit beside him, I forget about Mason for some reason and focus back on to Cole. "I love you" He whispers in my ear.

He never forgot what I said.

"Actually yes,my Grandpa doesn't know this yet but I put in a bit of action and switched from a slow routine to fast" I smiled.

"Wow so you are doing it like to and a song and dancing while doing the routine?" Vasilisa asked.

I nodded in reply I was going to pick up the pace and dance as well as showing my powers, it was going to be hard in my dress so I asked Faith to sneak in and bring me a short dress like the one I was wearing. Then I got a text that Faith was here I told her to come around the back, I ran out an saw her.

"Thank god you are here! You saved my life for this can you watch my routine please?" I asked her.

"Actually we are all going to watch your routine" she said then Daria,Natalie,Vicky and Mason came round the corner. I stared at them particularly Mason as he can't be here but then I couldn't smell if human scent.

I got ready and changed into the dress, it was Faiths dress put Natalie altered it so it had flare and Natalie told me something that I was shocked about.

"You have to turn at the end and in the routine, I managed to find a potion that can make the dress have flames you have to be careful" Natalie told me.

I'm now dressed and ready to be announced.

"NOW PRESENTING BLISS LOCKHART" The high council said.

I walked out on to the stage, here I go.
