Chapter 14

Our parents arrived the following week, I gave them a few days before I would tell them. Me and Faith had planned out a presentation a speech and some bribes of circa blood. I couldn't stop worrying all week, it wasn't so noticeable but some days it was.

"Bliss you have to stop worrying what's the worst that could happen!" Faith says.

"My family says no and I am forbidden to see him?" I replied.

Faith sat on my bed and gave me a hug, I was telling them tonight at dinner my cousins and Faith were gonna back me up and in desperate measures Jett will say he's with a human as well. Once our parents called us down for dinner all of us sat on the massive dining table.

"So were you coping well without the adults around?" Aunt Juliet said "I'm sure you had no parties while we were gone"

"We were fine mum" Mara said "No parties"

"But we need to tell you something. But it's more of Bliss's secret, you love her so hear her out okay?" Daria said.

Every bodies eyes were on me butterflies came back in my stomach, this was it the truth had to come out no matter what no more lying of where I'm going I mean I had human friends as well so is there really a difference.

"Mom, dad you know how I'm growing up and everybody deserves something special like Daria and Natalie deserve to get their boutique, Jett and Isaac deserve to do professional sports, Faith deserves individuality next to me and I deserve something that brings us together" I said.

"If this is the birds and bees I'm going to need vodka" Grandma said.

"No it's not like that, I deserve love, love brings us together and I think I'm in love" I caught my breath I felt as if a was giving a grand speech to the world.

"But I am I'm love............. With a human" gasps were all around, then Jett stood up.

"Listen! I'm not the only one, I'm in love with a human but where's the difference!" Jett declared.

I couldn't believe he did that for me, he said if things got out of hands he would say it but I never thought that he actually would say it even though my parents hadn't said anything.

"YOU TWO ARE WITH HUMANS!" Grandpa shouted.

I wasn't afraid of him, before I said anything I thought for a minute what's the difference between humans and vampires?

"Yes I am, I've been with him for 4 months I've met his farther plus they know I'm a vampire!" I say nearly screaming "they are cool with it they know I'm not like the others , plus I have loads of human friends so what's the difference?"

"Bliss, you have lied to us for months!" My father said. "GO TO YOUR ROOM IMMEDIATLEY". Obediently I did as I was told, Faith, Daria and Natalie followed me up I was crying so much that my cheeks felt as if they were crying.

I couldn't believe it I knew they would be mad but not that mad, I couldn't let my anger get past them. Daria hugged me hard and I cried on her shoulder, Faith patting my back I viscously wiped my tears.

"Bliss I will go talk to mom and dad and see them though ok" Faith said, I nodded in reply

When Faith went down and talked to the family I heard her shouting at them my parents shouting back saying that they could expose us. If this did mean forbidden love I didn't care anymore they couldn't even control me anyway.

I lay in my bed for hours, either readings book or staring up into the space I hated my parents so much. I couldn't get any sleep at all that night except from a hours sleep at midnight. I just lay in my bed doing nothing. "Why couldn't I just stayed with Cole?" I asked myself in that moment.

The next morning I woke up early, I got dressed and went downstairs my parents were sitting at the table I ignored them completely and ate my breakfast of oatmeal in silence.

"Bliss we need to talk to you" Dad says. I don't flinch from my seat as I carry on eating. "We are not angry you are with a human we are angry because you didn't tell us straight away and have been lying to us for months"

I carried on eating not saying or breathing a single word to my parents.

"We believe that we should meet him then decide if we allow you to be with him" mom said. "If he knows more than he should than that is a threat if he's nice and well trusted than you maybe will be allowed to see him"

I stopped eating my breakfast and looked up, serious faces on this was rare but I didn't dare breathe a single word that Masons dad was a vampire hunter. Why would I ? Then I wouldn't be able to see him let alone date him.

"Fine, il tell him that he and his farther can come around tomorrow" I said.

Then i got up from the table and left my parents sitting there chatting to the selfs talking prolly about me if I was in earshot I would scream at them. Then I ran up to my room and waked Faith.

"Faith mom and dad are letting Mason and his dad come round for dinner tomorrow!" I said. I shook her so she would wake up she mumbled great then fell straight back to sleep, I couldn't just text Mason he was only a minute away from me, I ran downstairs out of the door and to masons house.

I knocked on the door viscously and Mason was standing there in him pyjamas I was too excited that I couldn't stay still.

"Mason great news my parents are letting you and Nicholas come round for dinner tomorrow! Please dress nice have a shower and behave we can only be together with only their trust" I said.

"Bliss calm down I know this is major but it's 8 am I was sleeping!" He said. I gave him a hug and ran back down to my mansion. I couldn't wait until tomorrow this would be the start of my future.

My new future with Mason, I could leave Cole behind and pretend to lose communication it was as easy as that.
