"Morning sunshine,"

I smiled brightly at the nice lady at the desk, giving her my name. I walked quietly down the hallway, the door to Josh's room was open. Josh sat on one of the little desks with his back to the door, it looked like he was messing with something. I gently tapped on the door, he didn't turn around.

"I'm busy Mark." He spoke annoyingly.

"Guess I'll come back later," I smirked.

He froze and turned around frantically, placing a hand on his chest. I watched as he set down a camera and stood up from the desk.

"I thought you were someone else." He breathed a sigh of relief.

I laughed lightly and walked in, everything looked the same as yesterday. Only Josh was here instead of that rude sub. I heard shuffling and turned to see Josh walking towards the doorway, holding out his hand.

"Well let's go," he spoke cheerfully.

I grinned and practically skipped down the hallway. Once we made it outside I turned to him excitedly.

"So what are we doing today?" I sounded like a little kid.

He smiled and continued to walk down the sidewalk.

"Well, we're just gonna walk around the city. I want to see your creativity, see what catches your eye that wouldn't an average person."

I caught up to him and walk beside him eagerly.

"And afterward maybe we could get some coffee," his words were quiet again.

I looked up at him, he kept his eyes to the ground walking silently. They held what looked like hope.

"I don't like coffee," why would I say that?

"Nevermind, let's just get class started."

-

Class was fun today, I took loads of pictures and Josh complimented me on all of them. He said I was really good and didn't understand why I needed classes, but I wasn't that good to be honest. I take these classes to improve, it's fun! Now we were walking down the street not really knowing where we were going, well at least not me.

"Since you don't like coffee why don't we just get some lunch?"

I jumped lightly and eagerly.

"Ok!" I was hungry too.

He smiled at me but something just seemed off. I brushed it off and followed him down to the little café.

-

We had gotten our food and chatted a little, Josh ate most of his food but I barely touched mine. It looked so tempting but I could always wait to eat cereal bar or something when I get home, if I eat too much Ian could get mad and that wouldn't be good. I noticed how nervous Josh was, his knee bounced and he glanced around anxiously.

"What's wrong?" I asked sincerely, tapping his hand with my finger.

He looked up, almost shocked.

"Oh it's just...it's nothing." He smiled again but it was still off.

I stared at him intently, he eventually caved under pressure and sighed.

"I'm just worried. I don't know how I'm gonna pay for my bills this month." He kept his eyes to the table.

I felt a frown form on my face, I hated seeing him anxious. It looks terrible on everyone.
