I paced around my apartment not knowing what to do, I was bored. I had thought about texting Josh several times but I had just saw him not long ago so it would be weird. I settled on cleaning the apartment up, everything was messy from the other night. I nearly made my bed and rearranged a few random items. Other than that everything was neatly placed and organized. I was still bored, I slumped down onto the couch in defeat. I might as well watch tv or something, I flipped through the channels in search of something to entertain me. Eventually I gave up and settled with a home repair show, but that was even more boring.

After a while of just staring at my tv screen I finally just gave up and dozed off. I let the sound of footsteps lull me–footsteps? My eyes shot open and I sat up frantically, looking around. The footsteps were outside, and they stopped I was so startled when I heard a knock on my door that I thought my heart was going to jump out of my chest. I quickly got up from the couch and scooted over towards the door. Cautiously I opened it, expecting Ian but instead it was Josh.

"Hi Josh!" I grinned brightly.

"Uh, you left this at the studio." He held up my camera bag, well I'll be damned.

I gently grabbed my bag but didn't take it, my fingers overlapped his.

"Thank you, would hate to lose this." I slowly took the bag from him and held it close.

We stood there for a moment, just silence except for cars. The sun was setting and shined a bright orange color, illuminating the features of his face. His nose ring sparkled, features well sculpted. His hair blew lightly in the wind, it was so pretty and it looked so soft, I just wanted to reach out and touch it. I felt my cheeks grow hot and I looked down embarrassingly, I was staring again.

"Have a wonderful afternoon." My head shot up and I stumbled for words.

"Hey wait–are you busy?" I sounded hopeful.

"No, why?"

"Well come on in then!" I grabbed his hand and pulled him into my apartment.

"Do I need to take my shoes off?" He didn't answer me but kept pulling me into his apartment.

His place was nice, way nicer than mine. Everything was simple and clean, very well organized. He drug me over to his couch and sat me down.

"Stay here," he skipped over to his kitchen shoved something into his microwave.

Not long after I heard a noisy popping noise and a buttery aroma filled the air. He poured the bag into a bowl and skipped back over to the me, handing the bowl to me. I took it gracefully and watched confusedly as he wrapped a small blanket around his shoulders. Nimbly he sat down next to me, scooting close and closing any visible gap.

"What are you doing?" I was really confused.

"I wanna watch a movie, me an Ian used to do this! I just really miss him and I want some company." He beamed.

"Isn't he your boyfriend? What do you mean you miss him?" Now I was even more confused.

"I wish he was, but he's my ex boyfriend." He frowned, it looked terrible on him.
