The dinner was nice but I was excited to take Tyler to our mystery location. I was hoping he'd really like it, I thought it was nice. I paid our bill and I helped Tyler back into the car.
"Where are we going next?" He asked eagerly.
"It's a surprise." I smiled.
The rest of the ride was quiet, Tyler didn't seem as excited as I'd hope he'd be. He was really quiet, even as I lead him through a soft meadow. I gently sat down cross cross apple sauce and Tyler copied, keeping a comfortable distance between us. I looked over at him when I heard him gasp lightly.
"It's so...beautiful." His eyes sparkled so much, I smiled warmly.
"The sky is just so...colorful! Look at the blues and the reds and the pinks! Oh look at how bright they are and how they contrast each other, it's so pretty!" He gushed.
His eyes were large and filled with wonder, they sparkled as the clouds reflected off of them. He looked so beautiful in this very moment, wish I could capture it and keep it forever. I watched as he continued to blabber about the scenery, not really paying any mind to what he was saying. Watching his lips move was mesmerizing, I watched as they formed a frown snapping me back to reality.
"Josh? Hello?" He looked bummed and it made me sad.
"Yes?" I smiled but he wouldn't smile back.
It alerted me when tears started to glisten in his eyes, he just stared at me and didn't say anything.
"Hey, what's wrong?" I cooed, scooting a little closer to him.

So many emotions went through my head right now, I didn't know if I should tell Josh what's wrong or not. I decided not to and just laid down in the soft grass, Josh did the same. We watched the sun set for a while before I finally gave up and turned to my side, grabbing his arm and curling into a tight little ball. I sobbed lightly and he didn't speak, I was glad. We laid there for a while and I just let the tears flow, I eventually calmed down. Josh not once asked a question, I kind of liked it cause I couldn't tell him what was wrong anyway. We quietly got up together and walked back to his car, he helped me in and I sat silently.

Tyler seemed distant after we got back to his apartment. I was starting to believe that he didn't really enjoy this little trip, it made me sad.
"Tyler?" He hummed in response, not looking up from his phone.
"I hope you had a good time," he finally looked up and put his phone down, he looked tired and sincere.
"Of course I did, I had an amazing time. Thank you Josh." But it just seemed off, I didn't understand why though.
I studied him for a moment and he seemed kind of antsy, nervous. I wondered why, gently I reached out and placed a hand on his shoulder. He flinched and looked up at me almost surprised
"Sorry you startled me." He smiled weakly, something was still off though.
His smile didn't seem genuine, it was concerning.
"Wanna tell me what's wrong?" I tapped his hand, he pulled it away.
"Nothing's wrong." He stated as he stared at the blank tv.
"Are you sure?" Before letting him speak I reached over and started poking and tickling his sides.
But he didn't giggle and squirm, he squealed and scooted away frantically. Looking up at me wide eyed and panicked. He immediately looked down almost embarrassingly.
"I'm gettin' a little tired, I think I'm gonna go to bed a lil' early t-tonight." I opened my mouth to speak but before the words could leave my mouth he scrambled up and towards his room.
"Good...night." Did I do something wrong?

I waited a while and just watched tv, Tyler had gone to bed not too early but I was afraid to go back there. But sleep kept calling me and I finally decided to man up, slowly I got up off the couch. I carefully opened the door not to startled Tyler, it creaked quietly. I made my way over to my side of the bed and got ready, throwing on some loose sweatpants and slipping my shirt off. I cautiously slipped under the blanket not to wake him, he stirred a little but looked undisturbed. I let my eyes drift shut as sleep overtook me.
I woke up hours later when I felt something touch my hand, it was Tyler. He was whimpering trembling, clutching my arm tightly.
"Ty?" I couldn't tell if he was awake.
"Joshie," his face glistened with tears, I immediately sat up, bringing him up with me.
He scrambled and I pulled him into my lap, he wrapped his arms around waist and pressing his face into my chest, clinging to me like a scared child. He let go of a few soft sobs, I gently rubbed his back.
"What's wrong Ty?" He sniffled and nuzzled his nose, making my cheeks heat.
"So tingly m-make it stop," medical issue?
"Whenever I'm around him h-he makes my stomach flip and m-makes me lightheaded. His smile makes my knees w-weak, he brings me too much joy whenever he's around. He's so kind and caring I don't know what's wrong with m-me." He was a mess.
"Who?"
"I don't know." His voice broke.
I held him as he cried, telling him it was alright.
"I'm just so confused." He whispered, settling a little.
I strung my fingers through his chocolate curls, his hair smelled like almonds and honey, so sweet.
"It's ok love," I cooed, not realizing what I had said.
Though, I don't think he heard me. After what seemed like forever he had finally fallen asleep, he had managed to unravel his arms from around me and held them close to his chest like a child. Without thinking I carefully reached up to grab one, quickly dropping my hand when I realized what I was doing. My back and neck started to hurt from sitting up so much, I needed to lay down.
I cautiously wrapped an arm around Tyler so he wouldn't fall and carefully scooted down until my head hit the pillow. He stirred a little and turned so he was laying flat on my stomach, squishing his cheek against my chest. He tucked his arms at my sides and I kept my arm hung loosely around his back, my other reaching lazily to his hair. The skin on skin contact made my heart pound but I was ok with that. Tyler's warmth and presence was helping me fall asleep.

I woke up the next morning on top of something, it didn't feel like a bed. I gently sat up to find out it was Josh, my eyes widened when I realized he wasn't wearing a shirt. They widened ever more when I noticed that I had drooled on his chest. Carefully I pulled my shirt up and ever so gently cleaned it up. I was only in a long night shirt and my undies. I froze when I heard him groan lightly, I had my shirt pulled all the way up since the drool was right by my head. Before I knew it his arm around my back tightened and I fell against his chest, my shirt tangled around my shoulders. I gasped lightly, from my ribs down I was completely exposed except for my underwear. This is really awkward and I hate to admit it but I like wearing women's undies sometimes, and right now is one of those times.
Of course I couldn't get back to sleep, my heart was racing. Everything about Josh made my heart race, everything he did, everything about him, it scared me. Even though I hate to admit it, I've longed for a moment like this. But not this awkward or uncomfortable. I waited forever for Josh to wake up, my skin was on fire from the contact of his. I wanted to get up but I couldn't. Finally I felt him stir under me, he opened his eyes lazily and smiled at me. I smiled back, genuinely. He really did make me happy, I don't know why it's just something about him.
