chapter 10

(giuliana's pov)
live. today is probably the most anxious, nervous, scared and excited i've ever been. this past week, all i've done is rehearse and hangout with the girls, michael, jay and a couple other guys. there's only 13 of them since dorian went home yesterday. it was sad, but i wasn't close with him.
michael has helped me rehearse for today, as well as brady. i've decided to sing "nightingale" by demi lovato. i chose this since i have a special connection to this song, which i'll be sharing in a prerecorded clip during he episode. i have absolutely no clue how i'm going to hold it together, but oh well. first time on national television and i'll be crying.

nicolette and i decided we would get ready together, since we actually have to look good for this audition. i hear a knock on the door and scream
"ITS OPEN". i see nicolette run in.
"hey jules!"
"hey! before we go, let's run up to michael and jay's room"
"ooo yeah! sounds good!"
for the next hour and a half, we change, do our hair and our makeup. i straighten my hair and put on a casual outfit since i didn't want to overdress.

nicolette wears a a black tshirt dress and her hair in light waves.
once we finish hair and our outfits, we do our makeup.

we have to be at the studio at 3:30pm and it's now 1pm. we run to the elevator and then i go to michael's room and nic went to jay's. i knock on his door and his mom answers.
"hey honey! michael's right here, he's on live."
"okay thank you!" i see that he's showing everyone is suitcase of hichews so i run up behind him and grab him torso.
"you scared me oh my god." he says laughing and hugging me.
"good that was the goal" i say laughing too.
"guys go watch girl group tonight at 8 pm my girl is gonna be on there. she's good at everything and shes gonna kill it." he says to the camera and i blush. but i realize we haven't announced it yet.  i get up to "charge my phone"
but i tap my phone on the table to get michael's attention and i mouth to him "we didn't tell them." and he starts to laugh.
"well shit" he says.
"jules come here" and i walk over onto his bed, and sit next to him.
"so guys, i'm looking at the comments, realizing that i'm really stupid. so yes me and jules are dating." he says smiling and i kiss his cheek.
"anyway, make sure to follow her @/giulianarissani. make sure you watch the show on abc. bye guys." he says and ends the live.
"secrets out!" michael says laughing.
"not a secret, we just forgot to say something. i should post about later, right?" i ask.
"yeah that'd be a good idea. i'll post too."

michael and i spend the rest of the time we have cuddling and watching videos of cute dogs.
"babe i gotta meet everyone in the lobby. wanna watch the episode together later?" i say.
"of course. i have rehearsal now so i'll come down too."

when we get down we part ways and go into separate cars. my group has to take four different cars since there's thirty girls and about thirty moms. i get into the same car as nicolette, kaylee and ellie, as well as our moms. i sit next to kaylee and ellie and nicolette sit infront of us.
"guys, i don't know what's going to happen today but know what whatever does, we will stay close and talk all the time. deal?" ellie says.
"deal i love you guys." i say.
"aw we're cute i love you guys too." nicolette says.
"i'm honestly really scared. some of these girls are really good." ellie says.
"same but i'm just gonna put on my poker face and pretend i'm fully confident." kaylee chuckles.
before entering the building, i check my phone and i see i have four texts, one from michael, one from my brother, one from maria and one from kennedy.

michael : hey babe ❤ good luck later, i know you are going to kill it. top 18 here you come! the architects don't know whats coming!
giuliana : aw you're the cutest!! i'll text you when we are done filming. meet in my room at 7:30?
michael : sounds good baby!

now i check the text from my brother.

nick : hi sis! surprisingly, i miss you. i can't wait to watch u on tv! love you!❤ also dad's phone is broken so he can't text you but he says he loves u very much and that you're gonna do amazing.
giuliana : brother! i miss u guys!! love u💞 tell dad i say hi!

now, from kennedy.

kennedy : hey jules! i miss u girls! i know you're going to DOMINATE the competition! xoxo😘
giuliana : i miss u sm!! you're the best! see u soon💞

lastly, from maria.

maria : HEY GIRL i miss you!! idk how this works but i'll be screaming at the tv for you!! kisses from ny💙💙💙
giuliana : i miss you! scream so i can hear u on the west coast! love you!!

and now i put my phone away and say by to my mom. all the moms are going to be in another room with eachother freaking out. i hug my mom as she wishes me luck and we head into our separate rooms. we do a quick sound check to make sure all our mics work and then we get into out places. the thirty of us sit on the side where the boys sit and we wait for everything to start. i sit next to nicolette, so we can squeeze eachothers hands.
