chapter 12

"and we're back! the architects have the top 18 in their hands. each architect will call six names. each group of six will be a band. nick, would you like to name the first group?" rita says.
"sure. the first girl in the top 18 is kaylee preeden" nick says. nicolette ellie and i cheer for her very loudly. nick calls five names, not calling either of the three of us that are left.
"congratulations to the first six girls. emma, the next six girls?" rita says once nick is done.
emma names the next six, calling ellie! nicolette and i squeeze her in a hug and she walks down.
"congratulations to you girls. tim, will you please name the last six girls?" rita says.
"danielle fisher... nicole miller... rianna jones... jana parker... giuliana rissani..." timbaland says. YES! nicolette gives me the biggest hug, but it hits me. she wasn't called yet and there's one more spot.
"the last spot goes to... nicolette stone! congratulations to the top 18!" timbaland says.
when she comes to the rest of us 5, i give her a huge hug.
"now girls, please come up with your group name." rita says.
"let's do something clever." i say.
"hmm... i'm not good at this." nicolette says laughing.
"i have one! it's not clever but we're running out of time. on top?" rianna says.
"oo yeah that's good!" danielle says and we all agree.

"girls, what the name of your group?" rita asks the first six.
"outrageous" kaylee says.
"and you girls?"
"on top" i say.
"and lastly, you girls?"
"enlighten" brynn says.
"all fantastic names. next week, we have outrageous performing for us. tune in next week at 8pm!" rita says waving to the camera and we all wave too.
once the camera stops rolling, my group has a huge group hug.
"this going to be so fun guys!" i say happily.
"hell yeah it is! how bout tomorrow we go get breakfast together to get to know eachother?" danielle says.
"sounds good" nicole says.

i run into my mom's arms and she pulls me into a hug.
"you were amazing love. i started crying just like i am right now." she says laughing.
"aw mommy" i say smiling, wiping her tears.
"i'm so proud. that was very brave of you to share that."
"i know it was a little risky since people are probably going to say i did it for attention but i'd rather let people know than have to find out not from me, you know?"
"yup one hundred percent. now let's get back to the car."

"AHHH GUYS WE MADE IT!" i scream to ellie, kaylee and nicolette.
"timbaland really scared me when he called you guys last. i almost sharted." kaylee says.
"me too i was internally freaking out." i say laughing.
"but i'm glad we are all here now. kaylee, when do you have rehearsals?" nicolette asks.
"tomorrow morning. you guys don't start rehearsing until the week before your performance, right?" kaylee asks.
"yeah so it's fair for everyone. not that it really matters since we are competing against the people in our group."
"oh shit yeah that's so annoying. i don't wanna compete with people i'm working with." i say.
"same here but oh well. oh and do you guys wanna watch this episode together?" ellie asks.
"sorry i can't i already told michael i'd watch with him." i say.
"aw man, michael stealin our girl. how bout you two?" ellie asks kaylee and nicolette.
"i can" nic says.
"same. don't worry jules we won't have too much fun without you." kaylee says smiling.
"wow thanks guys." i say laughing.
in a few more minutes, we get back to the hotel and go back to our rooms. once my mom and i get back to our room, i run into the bathroom. i've had to pee since we got to the studio and i had to hold it the whole time so that was fun. after i wash my hands, i text michael.

giuliana : hey baby we just got back from the studio. i have to change bc i wanna be comfy so i'll be in your room in five mins
michael : kk see u soon my door is open😊

i change into sweats because i'm tired and incase i fall asleep, i hate falling asleep in jeans. i always get the worst wedgie when i do, sorry for the tmi.

once i change and wipe off my makeup, i make my way up to michael's room. when i get to his floor, i see jay going into his room.
"hey jules! how was the show?" he says.
"hey! it was great! are you gonna watch?" i ask.
"yeah i'm actually going to watch it with nic, ellie and kaylee." he says blushing slightly.
"aw cute. tell me how it goes. have fun!" i say and i open the door to michael's room.
"hey babe!" he says walking up to me, engulfing me in a hug.
"hey! how was your day?" i ask still hugging him.
"good. i had rehearsal most of the day but still good. i'm assuming yours went well?" he says leading me to his bed.
"you're gonna have to watch to find out." i say smirking.
"what time is it?" i ask.
"8 on the dot" he responds.
"poifect. lets watch. and by the way i'm the last one." i say.
"best for last." michael says smiling and i peck his lips. i'm so lucky. i cuddle into his chest and he pulls the covers over us as he turns on the episode.

"wow these girls are freakin good" he says shocked.
"i know i was getting so nervous." i say.
"but you're the best." michael says, kissing my cheek.
"look jules you're up!" michael semi yells.
he watches intently as the clip of me talking about my brothers plays.
"jules you never said anything about that." michael says hugging me tightly.
"i know. i hate talking about it, even though i probably should so i don't have to bottle everything up. i'm a wreck when i talk about it."
"if you ever want to, you know you can talk to me whenever you need. about anything, not just this." he says sincerely, looking into my eyes.
"thank you michael." i reply smiling softly.

he watches in awe when i sing, how i've always wanted someone to look at me.
"babe, you're so talented. i'm so lucky to have met you." michael says after my performance.
"aw thank you but i'm the lucky one." i say, pecking him on the lips, which turned into a little more of a peck. michael pulls away once the show comes back from a commercial.
"don't worry we'll continue later." he says smirking slightly.

"woah you're in a group with nic! that's great!" michael says once the episode is over.
"yeah i'm so excited! speaking of nic, her and jay are together right now." i say.
"oh yeah he told me before you got here. do you wanna meet up at the pool with them?"
"yeah sure! i'll text nic"

giuliana : hey do u and jay wanna meet up with me and michael at the pool?
nicolette : yeah sure! meet at 10:30?
giuliana : yeah sure i still have to get my stuff from my room
nicolette : oh yeah hahah

"i'm gonna go back to my room to change. meet at 10:30, kay?" i say.
"kay see you in a few." he says.

when i went shopping, i bought another bathing suit since i had only brought one.

once i change, i throw on a tshirt and go down to the pool.
i spend the rest of the night hanging out with the three of them until realizing it was getting late and we have to wake up early tomorrow. we all say our goodbyes and head back to our rooms.
