a new spinoff show "girl group" (based off the show "boy band") has been created and in the works. the contestants on boyband play a large role in the girls lives. read to find out what happens!
after a semi stressful morning, i get lunch with my mom and watch netflix movies with her. whenever i need to destress, i always go to my mom. i tell her about michael, not about the closet event, just that i'm getting food with him later. "so a date?" my mom asks. "no not a date! we are just getting food!" i say defensively. "two signs that this is a date. one, you are as red a tomato and you are extremely defensive for someone that isn't going on a date. two, you're literally going on a date." she says. i shut up once she says that because she's technically right, but i'm not going to admit that. i text my friends and ask them about how their audition went. they all said they think they did well, and mostly everyone was nice.
it's now 8 pm, when we are supposed to start getting called. this time we get a call either way so it's very nerve racking since we don't know what they are going to say. i text maria and freak out to her. i feel kind of bad that i'm pouring out my problems to her since she's not even hear but at the same time, i'd feel bad if i was doing thing to my friends here because they have to go through this too. after many minutes of shaking, almost crying and running around my floor, i get a phone call. "hello, giuliana?" the other line says. "hi! yes!" "it's jane. i'm calling to tell you that..." she takes a pause that feels like ten minutes "we are very sorry that... you have to think of another audition song because you are in the top 30! congratulations!" "ahhhh!!! oh my goodness! thank you so much!! i thought you were going to say i got eliminated!" i say shaking. "with that voice? hunny, you arent going anywhere!" "aw thank you so much!" "okay so about auditions. get a piece of paper to write this down" i do as she says and get a note pad from the desk in our hotel room. "so today is friday, you will be auditioning in a week from today. please be at the studio at 2pm. we will be going live at 5pm since thats 8pm for the east coast. if you would like, post a picture talking about it. prepare to sing, dance and perform on the spot. the judges will most likely do the same thing as last time, such as picking different people on the spot. you will find out the top 18 that day on live tv so your reaction then with be the reaction everyone is seeing. sound good?" "yup" i say so nervous but so excited. "great! if you have any questions, just call." "okay thank you so much!" "have a nice night!" "you too!" and i hang up. i jump and hug my mom and tell her i'm going to be on tv. she hypes me up and hugs me so tight. once we let go, i run up to michael's room. when i get there i knock an obnoxious amount of times until he opens the door. "hey baby! what's up?" michael says as he embraces me in a hug. "hey! nothing but i'm hungry and i got the call and i'll tell you more once we get food." i say laughing. "alright, lets go. lemme just text my mom." "i think i saw someone in the bathroom is she there?" "oh yeah! hey mom?" "hey!" she says and then she turns to face me. "hi i'm dena so nice to meet you!" "hi im giuliana, same here!" "mom, we are gonna run to in and out to get food!" "okay be careful!" "we will!" we say in unison.
once we get there, we both order a burger and we share fries. "so howd it go?" michael asks while eating a fry. "very good. almost not very good because she was like "we're sorry but you have to stay here a little longer" or something along those lines so i freaked out internally. but long story short, you're stuck with me a little longer!" i say smiling. "i don't mind one bit! congratulations i'm so excited!" "oh shit i have to post on instagram about this." i say laughing.

"secure fanbase i see." michael says. "small but all very loyal." "that's all that matters. have you thought about what song you're going to do?" "kind of. i kind of want to do a musical theater song to throw people off but i don't know if that's a good idea since this is pop." "that would be cool but would you be open to doing a pop song?" "definitely! i might want to do an adele song" "you would song amazing singing adele!" "tomorrow when you don't have rehearsal, wanna come over and help me pick a song?" "hell yeah!" "oh and did you find out your groups for next week?" "oh yeah! bloom, butcher, chance and marcus are in my group. i'm so pumped. and we are doing livin on a prayer so that's gonna be dope" "are you gonna rap in that?" "probably not, i feel like that would be a little weird no?" "eh maybe but it would be cool." "we'll see what happens. do you think you can come to the live show?" "i hope! we should be able to since we have the rest of the day to rehearse and it would just be a few hours." "yeah probably. what time is it?" michael asks. i check and i see that it's 10:30. "it's getting late, do you think we should head back?" he asks. "yeah not gonna lie, LA at night scares me." i say chuckling. "you're not alone on that." he laughs. as we start walking, michael says "we didnt talk about something. us." "oh yeah sorry i got rapped up in top 30 and stuff." "no no thats fine! jules, you're gorgeous, so talented and such an amazing person. since you're staying here..." he says as he stops walking. "will you be my girlfriend?" he says smiling, looking into my eyes. "of course!" i say hugging him. holy shit. i'm here for a week and i'm dating michael conor. we hold hands the whole way home and i'm smiling like a freaking idiot. "i'm so excited to be here with you." i say to michael, smiling. "and i can't wait to experience this with you." michael says back, pecking my forehead. when we get back to the hotel, i decide it would be a good idea to check on my friends and see their outcome. michael is on the floor above me, so he brings me to my room. "bye jules. see you tomorrow?" "yup! bye conor." i say smirking while falling into his chest and wrapping my arms around his torso.
just as i am about to get into bed, i hear a knock on my door. i look through the peak hole and she that it's kennedy. "hey ken! what's up?" i say while motioning for her to come in. "hey, i just wanted to come by and say bye. i got the call before, i didn't make it." "what? oh my goodness" i say pulling her into my arms with tears forming in my eyes. "did they say why?" i ask sniffling. "they said they thought i would be better solo." "oh kenny, you're gonna kill whatever you do. when do you have to go?" "tomorrow morning, 9am." "we should all wake up early, get breakfast before you go." "that would be good, let's text in the groupchat now."
after talking with kennedy for a few more minutes, she goes back to her room so she can make sure she gets up on time. i don't know if i can handle leaving my new bestfriends. i'm going to miss kennedy so much.
