a new spinoff show "girl group" (based off the show "boy band") has been created and in the works. the contestants on boyband play a large role in the girls lives. read to find out what happens!
"welcome to new york!" i hear as i open my eyes to a dark 5:30 am sky. i look to my right to see my mom also just waking up. i stand up to get my backpack out from above me, but struggling because of my short stature.
when i check my phone, my heart saddens. i see the date, september 16th, my brother, joe's, birthday. he would've been 18, i miss him so much. i sniffle a little and wipe my nose on my sleeve. he wouldn't want me to be crying while this should be a happy day, reuniting with my family. my mom sees me, brings me in for a hug, wipes my eyes one last time, and we get off the plane. i didn't tell anyone about today's significance, but all the girls see my puffy eyes and they give all give me a huge hug. "you don't have to tell us what's wrong but we'll be here for you forever, okay? don't hesitate to come to us, we love you" nicolette says. how this girl is only fourteen blows my mind. "aw i love you guys and i'll tell you because i hate when people do this then don't say what's wrong" i say letting out a little chuckle. "today's my brother's birthday, not nick, my other brother" i say. "aw jules i know today's gonna be a little tough but we have a full day of things to do today so hopefully it'll keep your mind off of your sadness" kaylee says. "hopefully. you guys are seriously the best gimme one last hug then we gotta go get out bags" i say pulling them back in. we all walk over to get our suitcases and once we do, we go into a big black car, like the one we use in la. we start to get driven to our hotel, the same one the boys are at in times square.
we get there in about twenty five minutes, all of us half asleep. it feels so good to be back home but i wish i wasn't in this state, tired and with a heavy heart. we all slowly walk into the elevator and get brought up to our floor. we are all staying on the same floor, the same one as the boys. my mom and i enter our room and fall onto the two beds. my mom falls asleep almost instantly, i hear her snore slightly. soon after, i get text, confused as to why anyone is texting me so early in the morning. but a smile appears on my face once i see that it's michael.
michael : hi my love. i woke up for a quick sec, i'm gonna go back to sleep soon though. i heard from a little birdy that today is your brother's birthday. please let me know if you are in need of some extra love today, i'm always willing. i can't wait to see you later beautiful💞 giuliana: i'll definitely be taking up on that offer. thank you, i love you❤
after putting my phone down, i get under the covers and dose off into a deep sleep. - i wake up 9am to the sound of my phone going off. i check it and i see that it's a groupchat between maria, my brother nick and her brother george.

i set down my phone so i can go and start getting ready in the bathroom, but i hear a knock on the door. so many interuptions. i walk over, struggle to see through the peep hole and then open the door. "hi my love" i hear as i look up to see michael. "OH MY GOD MICHAEL HI" i scream as i jump onto him and he twirls me around. i still get butterflies around him occasionally, this a still feels unreal. "i missed you so freaking much" i say. "i missed you more" he responds, giving me quick peck. "woah woah woah that's all i get?" i ask, jokingly. "i mean i still kinda have morning breath" he says laughing. "i couldn't care less just kiss me foo" i say dramatically, bringing his face to mine as he walks over to the bed and sits down on it so he's able to put his arms around me. "babe i'm so sorry to break this but i forgot to ask" i say remembering the party. the party we were supposed to go to after city walk got cancelled, which was kind of disappointing. "what's up?" "my school has a homecoming game today and there's a post game tonight. would you wanna go?" "yeah of course i'm gonna sound dumb but like a ... party?" he says, making motions to a drink. "yes michael a ... party" i say mocking his movements. "back home did you usually..." i ask continuing to use the motions. "not all of the time i would occasionally, not wasted though. you?" "same. but sometimes a little more than tipsy" "not gonna lie, i'm excited to see that side of you" michael says laughing, probably at the thought of me being extra stupid. "well you probably will. what time do you think we're gonna get back?" "probably 8ish. we could probably go straight from there though we could get an uber or something" "true, alright i'm gonna get ready i'm so glad you stopped by i love you" "i love you too baby" he says walking out the door releasing himself from our hug. when i pick out my outfit, i change into a casual outfit, a black top and jeans.

once i finish with putting on my makeup, i sit on my bed with my mom and we watch the first episode of girl group over.
"you know joseph would be so proud of where you are right now right?" my mom says after the episode is over. "i do."
