"you're telling me what to do?!"

I woke up from the sound of my phone, it scared the daylights out of me. I nearly fell out of bed. I snatched it off the end table and answered it.

"Hello...?" my voice sounded so tired, so sleepy...ugh...i hated it.

"Amy!? Are you still in bed?" the voice was recognizable, Kelly, I mentally laughed.

"Yes."

"Well get out and ready! I've been waiting out here for ten minutes, we're going to be late!" then with that she hung up.

Ready? Ready for what-OH SHIT! I flew out of bed, nearly falling on my ass before I got dressed and ran down the stairs, tripping off the bottom step. Landing harshly on my knees, i winced and got up.

Carson and Bea were laughing as they watched me snag a muffin from the counter. I ran to the door, slipping my boots and my jacket on before I headed out the door. Kelly was sitting in her car, jamming out to Ed Sheeran.

I smiled, as I hopped in the passengers seat. "Okay, I'm sorry, didn't mean to be late. Last night...was a long night."

"What happened?" she asked, pulling out of the driveway.

"Was watching a movie with Nate and I passed out, I woke up  in bed, so I'm guessing Carson and or Bea brought me upstairs."

"Or nate," She bluntly said.

I took it into consideration. It could be true, he could have brought me upstairs since I was in fact laying on him. Oh well, he got home safely.
I smiled to her as she wiggled her eye brows.
"How kinky did you and Kane get?" she asked laughing.

"What?" I was in utter confusion.

"Your neck stupid, it has a mark on it, and I sure as hell didn't see it the other day!" she said gazing at me with her bright eyes oh how she could start a war with them. 

"We didn't get kinky,..." I mumbled and looked out the window.

"Well you must of unless it was Nate,"

I said nothing, the car instantly went to a screeching stop and I jerked forward. "Kelly!?"

"He marked you! Nate marked you!" she said as her grin widened.
I stared at her, still saying nothing because I knew she already knew it all. "Does Kane know?"

I nodded slightly, he did, I just told him it was a tattoo. "Oh god! This is terrible. Dude, Nate's going to get a beating." she said worried.

"No he won't, I won't allow it." I said simply.

Kelly gasped. "You like him!" I stared at her. "Oh my god! Amelia Star, you like Nate!"

I looked out the window. "Can we just get going. we're late as it is," I groaned.

"We are in a parking spot already, I need to know. Amy, do you like Nate?"

I growled, whipping my gaze to her. "Yes! yes I do, make a big deal why don't you. I like Nate." I rolled my eyes before she hugged me.

I groaned, moving away before I opened the door. "Let's go..." I said as I rushed for the door.
I ran in just as the bell rang. shit! I hurried to my locker, snagging my books and ran to my class, turning the corner, that's when it happened.

Me being the greatest cluts known to man I ran right into someone, and not just any someone. no, this someone was Nate.

"Bubbles? Sorry, didnt see you there, I didnt hurt you did I?" he asked. Was it all just a dream? 

I stared at him for a while.
"Bubbles?"
That's when I realized he was still talking to me.

"Yeah?" I jumped as his eyes widened.

"I did hurt you!?"

"Ah, no sorry. No. No you didn't, just thinking." I said softly before brushing my hair back. "So what are you doing here?" I asked.

He gave me a crooked smile. "I moved in yesterday remember? You helped out before we went and watched a movie." So it wasn't a dream...well...at least that part. I nodded.

"Right, right. I forgot, my bad." I smiled before I felt the air shift and suddenly get cold. I turned slightly and I found myself being stared at by Kane.

"Amelia" he purred before his eyes wandered to Nate. Nate just stared back before he looked down at me.

"Amy, I'll talk to you later," he said before turning and walking away. No stop! Please don't go. nothing happened. dammit! I turned back to Kane before smiling softly.

He didn't smile back. I swallowed hard, staring up at him before he brushed my hair back. "Oh Amelia...i don't want you ever to be around him again, do you understand?" his voice hard and stricked. like he was punnishing me for something i didnt do.

I stared at him wide eyed. "You can't tell me what to do, I'm in charge of my own life."

He glared, "I am your mate and you will listen to me. Never go near him again." and with that he whipped around and walked down the hall.

never go near him again...I felt my heart stop. Kane wanted me to never my best friend again, my brother, my other half?! I shook my head. He couldn't tell me what to do.

School went by slowly, I was just glad it was over and I could go home. I stopped at my locker, unloading and loading up my things before I slammed the locker door and headed to the parking lot.

"Amy!"

I froze, turning around to see Nate running after me. I swallowed hard, looking around to see if Kane was anywhere but he wasn't. I adjusted my bag and watched him near me.

"Hay Bubbles, mom wants to know if you can come over for dinner tonight. She hasn't seen you in forever."

Dinner...well it's better then my brothers food. "I will" I said softly before he froze.

"Really, that's great mom will be happy to hear," he said before running a hand through his hair, "Do you need a ride?" he asked.

I looked around, Kelly was no where to be seen. "Yeah, if you don't mind."

He smiled, nodding softly which made his hair fall back into his eyes. "Of course. Come on," he said before walking me towards his navy blue pick up truck.

I smiled. "Is this?"

"Yeah, my baby. Fixed her up with my dad. The last thing I have left of him," he said softly before opening the door for me.

"Its beautiful," I said before thanking him as I hopped on in. He got in few moments later and started the car.
We got to our street in no time, once he parked the truck I hopped out and rounded to go to his side.

"I'll be over shortly, gotta drop some stuff off and get ready. Tell your mom I will be over as soon as possible." I said smiling up at him.

"Yes ma'am," he teased. I laughed before rolling my eyes. "See you later, Bubbles," he called before I walked in the door.
