Now normally when you witness someone you care about doing something...weird, you ask questions. This, this is not one of those times.

I walked down stairs to see Nate on the couch watching me, smiling at me. I know I shouldn't say this, but it was fucking creepy. His face was still and only his eyes followed me, I thought he was ill so I walked closer and he moved. I jumped slightly before he pulled me gently down next to him. I shifted so I was comfortable before nuzzling up to his side.

"Nate?"

"Amy?"

"Nothing, nevermind" I said just above a whisper. I couldn't ask him, I felt bad if I did. why? I have no clue.

"Are you sure?" he asked, looking down at me with his kind, loving eyes. His golden Amber eyes that shine and brighten me up. I couldn't hide anything nor be mad at him, I just couldn't.

"No." I said softly. Why. Why would I just admit that. I just dug myself a whole.

"Tell me what's wrong." he purred as he gently rubbed my back.

"Its not what's wrong with me, it's what's wrong with you?" he froze and made a face. "Oh nothing bad, it's just you acted a bit different a few minutes ago. Then when I try to talk to you, you ran out. I don't understand, I thought we weren't going to keep secrets." I came right out and said it. I felt like a total ass afterwards. I can not believe I did that. I can't believe I said that! I frowned.

Nate's face was filled with sadness. "We don't keep secrets from each other." he said softly. "I never wanted you to be mad at me," he said as he pulled out the little black box. That's when I heard a small giggle, the same little giggle I've heard before, recently, I thought I was going insane but I guess I was as sane as anyone.

Nate moved, sitting me up and he stood in front of me before crouching down into his knee and looked me in the eye. "I never wanted to do this now, I wanted to wait till tonight. But I couldn't keep it anymore. I couldn't have you upset or mad. I love you Amy. I will always love you."

I watched him going to open the box but I stopped him before he could. He looked up at me with a look of confusion. He didn't understand. It was like looking at a child and telling them no for doing something good. I felt pain rush through me, I felt sick. "Amy?"

"Nate-stop." and he did, he stared up at me, his hands holding the box and mine on top. He looked lost, looked hurt, looked afraid. I lowered my head and smiled. "I'm not mad at you, but I want you to do this when you are ready, when you are comfortable." I said softly. I watched him nod.

"Alright." I smiled, sighing in relief. "Amy," I opened my eyes and looked at him to see he held open the box, revealing a beautiful diamond ring. "Will you marry me?"

I couldn't speak, it was like I lost all ways of communication. I just froze and stared at him, at the ring. My hands went to my mouth, covering it to stop the slight smile I was showing. I didn't recall crying but the next thing I know I was in tears and hugging him. Holding him, I felt his arms embrace me, I felt happy, I felt love. I nodded my head continuously, unable to stop. "Yes. Yes Nate I will marry you."

I swore I heard a yip come from him cause he was grinning like a village fool. He pulled away, taking the ring from the box he took my hand and slid it on. It was a perfect fit. I smiled at him, my hands cupped his cheeks as I pulled him close, my lips pressed firmly against his.

Again, the giggle returned, but I didn't question it.

"Looks like he finally proposed." Bea said with a grin as him, Carson and Nicole were watching.

"He is just like his father, pulling tricks out of his sleeve." Nicole said with a smile which caused Nate to pull away and blush. I smiled, caressing his cheeks with my thumbs, I moved closer to press my forehead against his.
