Chapter 41: Souls Resolve

Hikari, Hoshi, and Hato appeared on the giant stone bridge in Sand Dune City. The sun was slowly rising behind them, shining a brand new light upon the land. The world had reset, and they were reborn. We found ourselves sleeping on the bridge. We all opened our eyes now, seeing that we were back in our true realm. The moon was silently floating over the horizon. We slowly sat up, confused. We all stood, we didn't have to share any words. I placed my hand over my necklace.

I can feel my heart calling out to him... He will find his way home, back to us.

We all knew that we were waiting for something to happen. We could feel it. We all looked off into the horizon. We were waiting for something to appear in the sky. Then, a small amount of light began to shine down, reflecting off of the moon onto the waters surface in the river. A figure appeared in the light, they walked across the waters surface. Too bright to see, it was almost as if they were floating as they walked.

Everyone ran up to the edge of the bridge to look over the wall. The figure was walking closer to the bridge, the light started to dim. It was Pyua. A smile spread over everyone's face. I felt my heartbeat quicken.

"Pyua!" I called out to him.

A huge smile came across my face. We all raised our hands and waved at him.
He made it under the bridge then he looked up at us smiling. My heart felt warm, I was so happy to see him.

We're finally all here, together... There's nothing keeping us apart any longer. We're back...

I felt tears start to form in my eyes. I climbed over the bridge wall and jumped into the water. I landed right into Pyua's arms, we went under the water.

"Hikari!" Hoshi and Hato called out after me.

They looked worried until they saw us breach the surface of the water. They all laughed at me, then they looked at each other and then jumped into the river as well. I hugged Pyua tightly, Hoshi and Hato swam over to us. We all smiled at each other.

"I missed you so much, I can't believe you're finally here." I laughed as tears were in my eyes.

Pyua smiled at me. "I'm just so glad that we're all here together."

"I thought it would never happen, but, here we are." I said giving a sincere smile.

"Our wishes were finally answered..." Pyua replied.

We all smiled at each other.

"The worlds have all returned from the darkness. Sand Dune City is back. And you know what that means? We should all go to the beach! We deserve a well needed vacation, after all these years." Hato said with a grin.

"Yeah, let's get out of the water. It's been like forever since we've been home." Hoshi said smiling.

"That's a great plan." I agreed.

We all swam over to the bridge and climbed out of the river. Everyone helped each other climb out. We all stood there a moment, taking it in that we were all finally united. Then we all hugged each other, still soaking wet, but we didn't care.

It's been so long since we've had a moment like this...

We all sat together on the pavement by the river, drying off. Talking with each other. After everyone dried off in the sun after it rose we decided to take a trip to the star pools. We all stood at the top, looking down to the water below.

"I've never seen anything like this before..." Pyua said amazed.

"You're gonna love this place, come on!" I said, taking Pyua's hand.
