The last Hikari remembered, she was falling into the darkness.

It enveloped my body, pulling me in. I fell into nothing but pitch black darkness. My other self, fell through my heart. With the stained glass steps shattering down around me. We both went through the black portal, back into one heart, a broken heart. Right as I was so close, to finding the answer, finding a way to stop them. Then.... Nothing was left. Lost through time, a wandering soul, for no one knows how long it has been. Straying farther and farther away through the realms. The darkness and the light battling within me, fighting for ownership. Fighting, to wake up.

As I traveled, my mind was filled with memories of my real life, the life I had forgotten from long ago. The worlds I had been trapped in. The fake lives I was tricked with. Everything was not the truth. The images flashed through my mind of my true life, it was perfect. Happiness, light, love. I saw when I was a child. My friends, the times we spent together, laughing and playing at the beach. The spring storm that brought the sea glass. The necklaces we made as a promise to stay together... I saw the time I had almost crossed paths with death. But my mother had been their to save my life. If she hadn't, I would have been gone long ago. I could never thank her enough, she didn't understand how important it was to me. But, my father was gone before I could remember...

The past:

Then one day, when I came of age, my mother made me give a promise. I swore to be a wielder of light, and to some day protect the lands from darkness. Like she once did as a wielder... She trusted me, to follow the light and never waver from that path. She gave me two ribbons, one for my Keyblade, and one to me. They bound us together, to be one with light.

One day, people heard word of a place that took in talented children who were Keyblade wielders... We all gathered together at the town's train station. The children were excited to go to this new place. The parents sad to see them go. I was confused about the situation, going off to some far away school. But, at least I wasn't alone. Hato and Hoshi were going with me. They were training to become wielders like I was now. The power to wield one was mostly passed down from generation to generation. Being worthy of the light. To carry on the tradition to become a protector. But, that power wasn't for everyone...

Before I left, I knew that there was something wrong with my mother. Something was going through her mind. She hasn't been acting the same. I noticed it had slowly been getting worse. But, I didn't know what to say to her. And now I had to leave. I had no choice but to just say goodbye. I felt guilt, for never getting the courage to ask her. I could only guess it was something from her past.

I got on the train and looked back to my mother. My friends stood close to me and I waved back to her. She waved goodbye, but I could tell, she was holding back tears. I felt sorrow.

We boarded the train in the morning and didn't arrive until sunset. We disembarked from the train, the town rising up in the distance. We walked down a long path that led into Daybreak Town. The kids all walking together from the train, entering the town. The buildings were tall, colorful. Nothing like I've seen at home. Lush grass and green circled all around us as far as I could see. Trees topped every hill, forests were close by. A massive clock tower with a pendulum swayed back and forth. Everyone gazed in awe at our new destination. I felt good about this place.

But when I got into the town, I felt that someone was staring at me. I felt it ever since we got on the train. So I turned around to see a mint green haired boy.... He had this light around him, like no one else I've ever seen before. He smiled at me, like we've always been friends. Though, this was the first time I had ever seen him. I stared in amazement.

Who is this?

He stepped up to me. The boy wore sandals, black knee length shorts. A tan turtle neck with yellow suspenders. Over top he wore a white sweater jacket. Along with a bronze bracelet and ring. On his belt was a chain and a lotus symbol. He looked casual and cool at the same time. The boy stared at me with intense eyes, like the color of morning dew.
