Hikari woke up to the sound of breakfast being made the next morning. I crawled out of my bed and went out my door. I looked down to the kitchen to see Hato making pancakes. In the living room Hoshi was laying on the couch with Chirithy.
"Look who finally woke up." Hoshi had a serious face.
Chirithy bolted up.
"Hikari!" They shouted as they jumped off the couch and went towards the bottom of the stairs.
I rushed over and went down the stairs, Chirthy jumped and I scooped them up in my arms.
"I missed you so much." Chirithy hugged me back.
"I've missed you too. All of you." I said as I looked up at Hoshi.
"Glad to see you're back." Hato said looking over her shoulder from the stove.
I walked over to the couch.
"I'm sorry I got back so late, the trip took longer than I thought. "I said, setting Chirithy on top of the couch.
Hoshi raised an eyebrow. "Did it now?"
I laughed. "Yeah, we missed our stop getting back here."
"And why is that? What was your mission anyways?" Hoshi grinned.
I sat down on the arm of the couch. I looked to Hoshi. So then, I shared everything. How my mother was missing. How we went there and found that she really was gone. Except, I left out the things Pyua had told me about himself. I felt that was something he wouldn't so easily share with others. And he only had decided to share that with me.
"You could have just told us, we would have understood." Hato said, turning around.
"I know, I'm sorry. I hate keeping secrets. I just, kept it from you because I didn't want you to worry. You have enough to deal with here." I said looking down.
Chirithy crawled over and sat in my lap.
"It's alright Hikari, we understand. Any choice you make is for the best." Chirithy smiled up at me.
Hato turned off the stove and placed the last pancake on the plate.
Hoshi sat up. "Yeah but, I still don't see why you only took Pyua."
"It's because when I got the letter he found out. He wanted to visit the town... He hasn't been there in a long time." I answered.
Hoshi smiled. "Maybe, next time we can all go to Sand Dune City."
"Yeah, that would be nice." I smiled back.
Hato set the plate on the table. "Breakfast is ready!" Hato announced.
I looked over. "Where's Pyua?" I wondered.
"He's still asleep." Hoshi replied.
"Go tell him that the pancakes are done." Hato said.
"Alright." I answered.
I stood up from the couch and set Chirithy down.
"Hoshi, do you mind helping me set the table?" Hato asked.
"Sure." She said as she got up from the couch and went over to assist Hato.
I walked over to the stairs.
"Chirithy you can help too." Hoshi encouraged.
"Yay!" Chirithy cheered and jumped over.
I smiled as I went up the stairs.
I'm happy to be back with everyone. And everything's back to normal.
I reached the top of the steps. I walked over to Pyua's door, then knocked.
