Cas grabbed his books out of his locker walking out to meet Dean when he was grabbed by his book bag falling to the ground.
"Dating a guy, what a waste of life"
The football jocks walked away laughing some stepping on Cas.
Dusting himself off he quickly cleaned himself up as to not rise questions from Dean who was waiting in the parking lot leaned against his car, Cas walked up to Dean who kissed his forehead taking his bag to put it in the back for him. Cas walked over to the passenger side, he watched the blurred trees and how even though Dean just woke up from a month coma caused by a car crash he still drove fast. They pulled over to on the road confusing Cas but he followed after Dean who got out of the car walking over and taking his hand. He walked with Cas into the woods following the faint dirt path until they hit a small wood bridge that went over a water fall, it amazed Cas his eyes full of excitement as he tried to take in the sights. Dean watched him smiling at how happy he was until he was caught starring putting a pink tint to his cheeks.
They sat on the bridge watching the water fall and the sunset. Fireflies started lighting up the darkness causing Cas to jump and grabbing one with the brightest smile plastered on his face. Dean broke out laughing at how childish Cas was as he jumped for fireflies. Cas stopped turned around walking back to Dean not stopping until his lips were on Deans. Softly he pulled away looking at his happy green eyes, he's never felt so happy with someone and after his last relationship he never thought he'd find love let alone find love where he also felt safe. But with Dean he felt happy, safe and loved. Looking into his eyes he knew it was time, it was okay for him to allow it he didn't feel scared he felt at home.
"I...I love you Dean"
Deans breath stopped mid gasp, his lips parted, his eyes widened he was taken back by Cas voice and the fact that he spoke. It didn't sound anything like his coma Cas voice it was deeper actually.  A grin formed on his lips and he picked Cas up into a hug spinning him, stopping and kissing him.
"I love you too"
The two laid on the bridge watching the stars until Cas started getting sleepy, Dean drove Cas home. On the quiet drive back to his place he he got a call from Charlie
"Hey, I know you just woke from a coma and all so I thought it'd be a good idea to go out, my girl and Sam are in"
"Yah sure, what'd you have in mind ?"
"Remember my parents lake house ?"
Dean hummed a response
"Sam suggested we head out there since we haven't been there in so long, he's bringing Jess and I assume you'll be taking Castiel"
"When I was in..in a coma the last thing I remember is is going to your lake house but it was at a beach instead."
She laughed a little before replying
"makes sense. A coma is a long dream of things you enjoy and memories. You love the beach and have a lot of memories of the lake house, considering we use to spend every summer there when we were little."
"Mmm, guess so"
"Any who I gotta go Deano. We shall talk more at school tomorrow young padawan"
"I'm older than you"
"Ah yes my apologies Jedi master."
"Yes, much better."
"Bye loser"
"Bye nerd"

  Dean and Charlie met up at the side of the school where there were picnic tables.
"Where's Castiel?"
She asked siting down across from Dean.
"With some friends"
"He's got those?"
Dean laughed a little. Charlie would always say how it was as if Cas only knew Dean and had no other friends, it made sense because Dean and Cas were always together.
"So your parents are okay with us going to the lake house?"
Dean asked changing the subject.
"Are you kidding ? She's adores you of course she's okay with it."
The bell rang for classes to start but neither of them cared enough to get up, Charlie was reading through a comic she borrowed from Dean while he pulled out a smoke. She looked up and took it from him finishing it then getting up stepping on it and putting her comic away.
"Let's go Winchester"
Dean agreed getting up as well. The two walked into the school going their separate ways, surprisingly Cas wasn't in class. At lunch he joined Sam and Jess at the back of the school and decided to call Cas
"Hey you weren't in class ?"
"Mmm s-sor-" coughs fought through Cas words enabling him from speaking. Understanding, Dean sighed.
"Sick huh? I'll be over in a few"
"N-no y-"
"Shh, see you soon"
He hung up before Cas could try and fight him on it.
"Who was that?"
Sam asked
"Cas"
Sam gave him a baffled expression
"But you called him?"
"Yah?"
"And he spoke ?"
"Oh. Yah"
Dean read the confusion from both Sam and Jess
"He'll only speak to me"
"Awwh that's sweet, you're like his safe haven"
Jess spoke in a soft cooed voice. Dean smiled shrugging his shoulders, he liked the idea of Cas feeling safe and comfortable around him.
"I'm ditching the last few classes, tell ma it was an emergency from Bobby  or something"
"Seriously? This is the second time, mom knows when I'm lying and I hate lying to her."
"Okay then tell her the truth. I skipped the last few classes because Cas is sick and I'm leaving to help him"
"bitch"
"jerk"
Dean flashed a grin at Sam before turning and leaving. Before he went to Cas' he stopped at a store grabbing some chocolate, candy and tylenol.

He knocked on Cas apartment door which was answered by his mom
"Ah, Dean hello! It's been so long"
She moved aside allowing him in
"Yah well I was in a coma and all"
He laughed a little walking in. She immediately closed the door going back to the kitchen cooking.
"Castiel is in his room down the hall sweetie"
Dean smiled at her walking down the hall
"Dean!!!"
Before he could see where the yelling was coming from Anna jumped at him for a hug, thankfully he was quick enough to catch her.
"Dean come see my new doll!"
He took her hand and dragged him down the hall past Cas room and into hers, he sat on her bed while she searched through her toys for the doll. He acted amazed at the doll gaining a bright smile from her.
"Annie he's here for Cas, let's go to the park"
Micheal stood in the door way, Anna jumped in excitement putting her shoes on and taking Michael's hand, Dean got up leaving her room walking towards Cas but was interrupted once again by his phone, he leaned against the wall answering it
"Dean Matthew Winchester. Why aren't you in school?"
He sighed knowing that Sam tried to lie for him. After some arguing he managed to talk his way out of trouble. Slowly he opened the door to find Cas on his bed asleep, he walked up placing the bag on his desk and climbed into the bed at first he watched him but eventually he fell asleep.
