Chapter 8

Peeta's POV

I was just about to walk into my house, when I saw Gale rush into Katniss's house. What is he doing? I thought, I knew he had a crush on Katniss, and I can tell ever since our first kiss. He has been hating me like I was another President Snow. Did I just say that? Although I slowly followed Gale, I didn't go out the door, although I went next to the house. I heard Katniss shouting,

"To save us!" I heard her yell, I hope it was to Gale,

"Why!" Nope it was Prim's voice. Why would Katniss shout at Prim?

"Because we do!" I heard Katniss shout again,

"But I don't understand! Why can't you just back out?!" I guess Prim found out,

"For the same reason why we can't for the games!" Then it was quiet, I guess they were hugging it out. About 5 minutes past when Gale finally came out, I tried to hide behind a bush, although Gale's eye sight was amazing.

"What are you doing Mellark?" He asked,

"Um," I was struggling for words, "I was just wondering what was for breakfast?" I shrugged, Gale looked like he was going to tackle me- no that's the wrong word, more like punch me! Although he just grunted and walked past me with his hands in fists. I stood there in shock, then I walked back to my house. I guess nothing was wrong in Katniss's house. Or maybe she just doesn't need me anymore.

I went into my house and walked up to my room. I took out a bag that was under my bed, I started to pack. I took some clothes, some paint and my paint brush and some colored pencils. That's all I really needed. I closed the bag and put it next to my bag. I wasn't really sure what to do now. I went to Katniss's house to ask her a question that was stuck in my mind. When are we leaving? I mean I don't want to sleep in until 7 and then realize that we were supposed to wake up at 3 A.M. it wouldn't be a pretty sight.

I walked into their house and Katniss was sitting at her table, "Katniss?" I asked her head snapped up,

"Yeah?" She asked,

"When are we leaving?" She gave me a questionable look, "For Camp?"

"Midnight." She said sighing, she looked at me. And gave me a small smile.

"Thanks." I said quickly before walking back out. I always feel a tingly feeling when I'm standing in the same room with her.

Piper's POV

"And it has to do with you." Percy said, he had a determined look in his eyes,

"Percy," Jason, "How are we sure we can trust her?" I was thinking the same thing. Aw, we're the cuitest couple! What? Did I just say that?

"You can trust her!" Hermione said, "We've been with her for 5 years!"

"Yeah." Ron said, "The one you can't trust is Snape." Ron shivered when he said his name.

"Let me speak!" Percy said,

"Yeah guys." Leo said not taking his eyes off his machine, I turned to look at him I saw Hermione staring at him. Leo looked at her, Hermione looked away and blushed. There so cute! Why Aphrodite?! Why did you put that couple curse on me?!

"She said that Chiron told her that you." Percy stared at Nico, "need to go to distract 12?"

"Uh!" Nico complained, "There?! It's like a dump! Don't even make me start about the Hunger Games!" Hunger Games? Isn't that a book title? Oh well.

"If I were you I would shadow travel there."

"Can I do it later?" Nico complained, "I mean it's so hard to do something like that so quickly!" I gave him a quitionable look, "It's like going on a rollercoaster that only goes in those loops!"
