Chapter 20: And Before I Could Say I Do...

Well it's been about a week since Jack proposed. 

Right now I'm trying to figure out wedding details with Haley. So far the only thing I know right now is that Haley is going to be the bridesmaid and I'm assuming that Alex is Jack's best man. 

"I don't have any friends how am I supposed to make a court?" I asked. Haley shrugged then turned her attention from the paper up at me. "Maybe ask if Jack has anyone? Maybe his sister." She said.

I nodded. I hadn't even met any of his family and we were getting married. Fuck. I picked up the phone and dialed Jack's number.

"Hey babe." He answered.

"Hi, um so I know you're out with the guys right now but I need help real quick." I explained. "Nah, it's cool go ahead shoot." He replied.

I nodded despite he couldn't see me and grabbed my notepad and pen. "So the only friend I have is Haley and I need a whole court." I took a deep breath before continuing.

"Are there any people that you know that could be in the court?" I asked. "Cassadee, Emily, um Lisa, then there's my sister." He said. "See that's the thing Jack. I haven't met any of your family and we're getting married." I explained.

"It's okay babe, I'm sure they'll love you. Why don't you go out to lunch with May today, I'll call and set it up yeah?" He said. Again I nodded. "Sounds good, panera bread." I stated. "Okay, talk to you later babe." And with that he hung up.

"We have lunch later with May." I said as I put my phone down. "Okay, how about the other people for the court?" Haley asked. "Cassadee, Emily and.. Lisa." I said mumbling Lisa's name. 

Haley wasn't exactly fond of Lisa seeing Alex had cheated on her with her. 

Haley wasn't one to hold a grudge, but she didn't like Lisa. She stared blankly at me. No emotion what's so ever. "I can get someone else instead of Lisa.." I said. 

"No it's fine." She said shaking her thoughts away. I pushed my lips to the side of my face. "Okay.." I mumbled before writing down the names onto my notepad. 

My phone vibrated on the table. I picked it up, a text from Jack. "Lunch is at eleven and it's 10:14 now so we should get ready." I said seeing we were still in our pajamas. Haley nodded agreeing and we walked upstairs into my bedroom. 

"I didn't exactly bring any presentable clothes so could I borrow something?" She asked. I nodded. "Yeah I don't mind." I said walking over to my closet and grabbing a denim dress while Haley picked out something from my dresser.

I put my dress on, then following my combat boots. Did I mention over the year I got a nose piercing? Well I did. Haley also dyed the top of her head a really light blonde and the bottom black. I put in my cross nose-ring. I'm not really a religious person I just thought it looked good. 

I straightened my hair quickly and had Haley put my hair into a bow. I put my plugs in then slid some bracelets on.

Now for the make-up. I applied some light blue eye-shadow then my usual black eyeliner. Then some plum lipstick to pull it together.

We had got to panera and found May. 

We discussed the wedding and she agreed to being in the court and everything. Then she came back home with us and helped us figure everything out. 

We're having the wedding where Warped is held in 3 months. 

The reception will be held there as well. When Jack got home we discussed his court and I was right Alex is his best man. Kinda figured. The rest of his court will be Rian, Zack and Joe his brother.
