Tickets end soon, so buy what you can while they last, folks! Soon, it'll be time for your luxurious vacation. Are you ready? Can you spell the delicious scents of coconut and fresh spring water? Can you see those plants blooming right before your very eyes? Can you imagine your body lying in that beautiful hammock, drinking a sweet drink while you take a break from your project? What about eating your favorite foods while sitting around a large, open campfire, where you'll have midnight writing sessions with other writers. Look up and you can see those stars twinkling overhead, along with the luscious, shining figure of the moon, a beacon calling for you writers to live in the excess of your words. Or for you early-bird writers, they'll be a five-am writing group that wakes up the same time as the island. The freshly-dewed trees will stretch as you do, and those bright and cheerful birds will keep you company. Don't worry if you don't like noise--all the rooms are very insulated. If you do desire to hear the sounds of the island, you can open your window, and there are screens--so there's no fear of being eaten up by those pesky mosquitoes.
Yes, paradise is waiting for you. So why haven't you bought your vacation yet?
There will be an unlimited number of spots for these games. Once you've reserved, you have a total of forty-eight hours to get your butt in gear and write that form. If you know you'll need more time, you may ask for it, or you can simply not reserve until you have time to reserve. Remember, there are unlimited spots for this competition!
Don't be scared about the possibility of having too many, or too few, opponents in this competition. If there's too few, the tasks will remain the same, but fewer people will be eliminated. If there are too many spots, however, the tasks will remain the same, and more people will be eliminated. Are you ready for that?
Here's our lovely form!

Now that we've got reservations out of the way, let's get to task one, shall we? All of you have been accepted! Now, don't get too worked up. All of you are accepted, and all will be graded, and receive notes for the first task. This is like what you would call an 'audition' task. However, from this moment in the competition on, Unwritten will have a set number of competitors. This has already been decided. If there are too many of you, at the end of the second task we will have our first voting and our first large relocating of people. If there are too few of you, have cheer! You're all safe.
But if you ask me, you'll likely want too many. :) How many do we need for this competition? Why don't you try out and find out? You're allowed to take an unlimited number of spots. Want eleven tributes? Go right ahead! Just so long as you write each and every single one of them. If you fail to hand in the first task you will not be joining in after that.
☀Task One☀
Your job this round is simple: Describe the moment when your character finally allowed themselves to buy a ticket to this beautiful island paradise for writers! You decide the cost of the ticket, the availability, and whether or not you buy one or multiple. This task will require you to get inside your character's mind and show us how they're feeling, and it also requires you to show us the physical action of them actually buying it. How much you show of each is up to you, but try to keep it balanced in some way.
Challenge: Each task will contain ONE challenge. You MUST complete these unless you want half of your score removed. Trust me, you don't. This week's challenge? Incorporate any of these five smells:
Fragrance; Sweet; Chemical; Woody; Toasty
You may do whatever you want with these smells as long as you have at least one of them in your entry, describing it for at least one whole line. All you need to do is incorporate one of them. Simple and easy! :)
Word Restrictions
750 is your minimum
1750 is your maximum
