Name: Marlene "Marley" Rhodes (It's been ages since anyone has called her Marlene because the only one to do that was her paternal grandmother, and she died of a stroke nearly a decade back)

Age: 21

Location: She travels the world, never staying too long in any one place, but she calls the tall mountain of California home.

Occupation: Marley has never considered herself to be the kind to settle down with a job, and since money's not a problem because of her family, she's never really had a job with a steady amount of income. However, she's spent a few years working as a Peace Corps volunteer, and she'd been quite the waitress back in high school, but despite the associate's degree she's got in nursing, it seems that she'll never learn to settle down. Currently, alongside traveling the world she's taken a liking to writing, but she doesn't consider herself an author quite yet.

Personality: She's kind in all the ways of the world. Marley's got a positive outlook on the world, and even though she's a realist to the core, she'll try to be optimistic with the best interest of others' emotions in her heart. Often, others find her kindness as a gateway to weakness, and there've been far too many instances where they've tried to take advantage of it. Still, she wields it as a strength and as her sword. There's a beauty in all the things of the world in Marley's eye, and she's eager to try new things and go to new places. Really, she's an adventurous spirit who finds it too difficult to stay in old places and is too quick to move on.

Appearance: It's her eyes that are often considered the height of her beauty, and though the hazel color is alone enough to demand the onlooker's attention, her dark lashes are long and pretty too. Thin, gentle eyebrows sit on top, and a slender nose is in between, with a set of lips in between thin and full at the bottom of it all. It's a kind face, and still it glows with the epitome of youth. Marley's got soft, dark hair, and though it's often tied up messily or thrown into a bun to keep it out of her face, it's true that when it's set free, the dark strands brush the middle of her back. She's taller than most of her gender, and she's skinny too, but not so much so it's considered a twig; she's got a bit of muscle here and there, and she's still fit from her days back in highschool as a runner.

Backstory: Marley grew up on the California mountainside, born to a family that's wealthy but not the kind to flaunt their riches. She's got an older brother, Dante, and she's close with him. He's settled down in Massachusetts, so she travels there tons to visit him, and she's also fairly close with her sister-in-law. She's took a break year after high school to travel, and after that did a quick associate's degree in nursing which was mostly so she could get involved in the Peace Corps. Since then, however, she's been to nearly thirteen different countries, six of which she's actually lived in. Somewhere on her travels—probably India, but perhaps not—she picked up on journaling and then later got into fictional writing during her stay in Ethopia. She's written a number of short stories and bits and pieces of projects that she's still playing with, but she's hoping to get going on a complete novel at Ariston's Writers Resort.

Biggest Fears: It's fairly easy to say that Marley's biggest fear is settling down. She doesn't know—and doesn't want to know—what it'd be like to lose her ability to travel or to lose the enormous amount of freedom that she's got.
