Name: Brendan James Johnson (but you can call him B.J.)
Age: Twenty
Location: London, England
Occupation: Romance Novelist/Student - you may know him from hits like The (Fuck)boy Next Door and Teacher's Pet.
Appearance: Brendan is a pretty boy in the most obvious way: sharp features, smooth complexion, surprisingly tanned for a British man - but there's a bit of an unassuming quality to him, too, hiding in the way his shirts are a size or two too big, or the way he wears thick glasses that cover half his face, or how he always wears big tuques to take attention away from his actual appearance. Plenty of people have told him, of course, that he's attractive, and Brendan is sure that they mean it - but often he still feels painfully average, which contributes to his need for invisibility; despite his longing to matter, B.J. is most comfortable when hidden amidst anonymity.
Personality: As you might have guessed, Brendan is not exactly the loudest person in the world; he's a watcher, more than anything, and a dreamer, even more than that. With a hyperactive imagination, it's frequent for him to get carried away in his own fantasies (which actually feeds his career single-handedly). Unfortunately, Brendan has a tendency to let his fears dominate his life, and pass up opportunities he'd love to take purely because he's scared to seize them. For example, there's this guy on the bus every day that Brendan would love to talk to, but hasn't. It's been months. Outside of this, he's a complete pushover and yet almost entirely stuck in his ways.
Backstory: Unfortunately, there really isn't much to say here. Sometimes, Brendan likes to pretend he's a neglected orphan, or maybe a runaway groom - but the truth is that his life is perfectly ordinary. Mother and father still together, middle class, solid A student...there is absolutely nothing to exploit for the sake of art, much to his displeasure. Of course, he'd have to take a risk for that, so here he is.
Biggest Fears: Fading into complete obscurity, rejection, and clowns. God, he hates those clowns.
