I locked my phone and slowly got up, heading towards the room that Jeff and Justin were in. I knock, opening the door when there was no reply. Once opening it all the way, my mouth drops to floor. Jeff and Justin had done the nursery. They put together the crib, painted the walls and even added tiny details. I finally spot the two of them putting the tools back in the toolbox, my arms wrapping around Jeff's shoulders.
"You know I love you, right?" I ask, quickly kissing his cheek. I hear him hum in agreement, a smile on my face. Justin clears his throat, now leaning against the closet door. Without hesitation, I pull him into a hug, the baby kicking with excitement as i do so.
"I'm so glad you're my brother. I wouldn't be able to do any of this without you." I feel Jeff's hands rest on my shoulders, allowing me to relax into his touch. "Which is why we want you to be the baby's godfather." I state, excitement evident in my voice. And then I see something, something that I rarely see with Justin: tears of happiness.
