It wasn't long before a loud cry filled the room, our baby being placed on my chest. The last 15 minutes were a blur, I was too focused on the baby. "You did so good, baby." Jeff repeats, placing a kiss to my temple, not even registering the wetness on his cheeks.
"7 pounds, 13 ounces, 21 inches long." The nurse yells over the cries.
"Jeff, you can go look. I'm fine." I encourage.
He lets go of my hand, cautiously walking over, looking down at the baby who was 50% him, and 50% the girl he loved. Once wrapped up, the baby was placed carefully into Jeff's arms. I smiled at the scene, the baby's fingers wrapped firmly around his.
