I typed this in the dark, so...

[Silver's POV]

I swished the water around in my mouth, before spitting it out in the sink again. Time check: 3:57 a.m. Now what am I doing this late in the morning?

I......... threw up.

The strange seaweed salad from dinner made my stomach uneasy. I'm not used to exotic foods.

I gargled again, then drank to wash the taste out. Back to my room to continue sleeping.....

Wait.

The light in the living room is open.

I didn't notice that earlier. Did I?

Shouldn't it be closed? I decided to check it out. Maybe someone was outside. I looked out the window. I was right.

Deciding to surprise her, I tried to sneak up on her. But as I opened the door, I got caught.

"Hey Silver." She was sitting on the porch, not looking at me.

Almost did it! "Why still up?" I sat down beside her. "And how did you know it was me?"

Saw you running to the kitchen when you went down." she said. "What happened?"

"I vomited the remains of a strange salad." I said. "Why still up?"

"For some reason I can't sleep a wink. I think it's because of the milkshakes. Too much sugar."

"How about Blue? Didn't he consume a large amount of sugar too?"

"He's probably staring at the ceiling wide awake. Or took sleeping pills."

She isn't that hyper, but enough to prevent her from falling asleep. "Want me to wake Gold for you?"

She laughed. "That's a great idea, but no thanks."

"I'll do it." I stood up. She grabbed my arm and stopped me. "No Silver, don't."

"Don't you want to sleep?" I asked her.

"Don't disturb Gold." Skylar said and motioned me to sit down.

"You actually like Gold?" I asked.

"Not really." she said. "About earlier. Did you tell him to kiss me purpose?"

"Yeah....?"

"Oh. Well yours was really disgusting."

"Then why did you choose me!?"

"Hmm, now that I think of it, I guess it should have been him. It would be easier with him."

"So you regret it?" I hope she does.

"Of course I do! You're my best friend, not an admirer like Gold."

"What, you consider him as an admirer?"

"Yeah, got a problem with that?"

"You bet I do."

"Too bad there's nothing you can do about it."

I stared at her, and she stared back directly into my eyes. A staring contest started.

Skylar swiped her hand towards my eyes, making me blink. "Ha."

"Should have seen that coming, you always cheat at staring contests." I said. "How long have you been staying out here?"

"Maybe a hour?"

"Right. It's four in the morning and the sugar's effects haven't worn off yet? Get some sleep, or I'll really wake Gold up this time."
