Friends

Annabeth's POV

I guess you could say I was nervous. And by nervous, I mean FREAKING OUT! Today is the wedding! What if I trip while walking down the aisle or say 'I do' at the wrong time?

"You're going to be fine," Piper reassured me. "I was this nervous at my wedding and look how that turned out? It was great!" I ran a brush through my hair again.

"Yes but there are so many what-if's! What if one of the bridesmaids is sick, what if my dress doesn't fit, what if I forget what to say?!" I said nervously. Piper laughed.

"You'll be fine. Come on, let's go get your dress on." She led me into a room with Hazel and Thalia. The dress stood on a pedestal next to the window, the silver owls gleaming in the sunlight.

"It's so beautiful." I commented.

"And it's going to be even more beautiful on you." Hazel said, smiling.

"I can't believe my best friend is getting married today." Thalia sighed dreamily.

"Aw, come on girls. Group hug!" I said, tearing up a bit.

"No no no!" Piper yelled. "You'll mess up your hair and makeup!" I rolled my eyes.

"Fine. After the wedding, then." I promised.

"Now go get your dress on! We have no time to waste!" Piper said, shooing everyone out of the room. Once I was alone, I undressed then slipped the dress on over my head.

"Can someone come help me button this?" I called out, hoping someone could come help. Someone popped their head through the door.

"I could help." Calypso said.

"Oh... Er... Sure." I said, surprised.

"You know Annabeth," Calypso spoke. "We should be friends." I sighed.

"I would like that, but it's going to be pretty hard because of Percy." Calypso winced when I said his name.

"I spoke with him today," Calypso began. "And he says he is sorry he left me, but he loves you. We talked it over. We are friends now."

"Oh," I said, surprised. "Okay. Friends then?" Calypso smiled. I smiled back.

"Friends, Annabeth Chase."
