THEN... WE MET

Let it GO..

Two hours had passed after the horrible encounter with her now so called X-fiance  Nathaniel.

This is how this world is.. In a matter of seconds you are all happy and just like that you are broken and lifeless.

She needed to be OK, her priority now was her grandpa. The old man had been there through sick and thin,it is him who deserves all her love this stupid ideas of hers  wanting to settle down needs to be gone.

She arrived at the hospital carrying a basket full of James(Grandpa) favourite  fruits. As she reached the room she was instructed, right before opening it, she took a deep breathe.

'Let it go... Just let it go! ' she spoke to herself.

When her eyes landed to the sleeping old man on the bed,she felt all sort of emotions love, happiness, sympathy and sadness.

Just then her grandpa turned his head and saw her beautiful granddaughter staring back at her.. 'look at her,all tired and thin,  God!! she lost so much weight! (he thought)

"Hey grandpa.. I mi...  I missed y.. You" her voice was cracking
Before she knew it she was hugging the old man so tight that it was pretty hard for him to breathe.

"Young lady.. I am in no mood to say goodbye to the mother earth. "

With that she let go of him and began laughing so hard..

"Come on grandpa, you want to live forever? This world is a mess"

"Look who is giving life lessons !!.. Mhh now you tell me what took you so long to visit me?"

"I.. Uhh were kinda busy."

"Busy you say.. Like busy getting married for the third time!!! "(It came out as a yell)

Kara was shocked, who told him about the wedding, it cannot be Emelia, I mean Emelia rarely speaks to grandpa claiming that part of her is afraid of him.  Could he... Could he have threaten her? (She gasped looking at her grandpa who was now very furious)

"Tell me you did not threaten my best friend Into telling you what is going on in my love life! "

"Live the poor girl alone.. I myself feel sorry for her for having a narrow minded friend like you."

"Grandpa! "(she yelled)

"What am I wrong? "

She stared at her grandpa trying to figure out, if it is not Emelia then wh....(then it clicked)

"Did you perhaps.. Oh my God.. Do you have a private investigator following me around in every little things I do"

"Was praying that you would never find out! Pfffff what a waste."

"Grandpa this is my life we are speaking of.. for crying out loud.. My freaking life! "

"I know.. And how did you choose to live it?"

"That's none of your business. "

"It is pretty well my business for your father left his full custody to me, now I wouldn't have a carefree,lousy girl for a granddaughter."

"Grandpa is that how you see me? Just a carefree and lousy girl?"

"You have far more important things to do than being desperate for men! "

"Grandpa.. Enough!! "(She yelled)

There was silence, and it seemed Kara was about to tear up,but she held her tears.

"Well then grandpa, I thought you would love grapes and apples your favourite fruits,so uhh I will leave them here and ugh your food Emelia will bring it for you. "

James being stubborn as he is, remained quiet not even giving a glance at his granddaughter,who was now preparing to leave.

"Just so you know.. I broke up with my so called Fiancee this morning I found him cheating! So hell ya!  Am messed up, so be happy no weddings at least for now! "

"Good"he said not even looking at her.

"Here I am disappointing you again, well then I will take my leave! Stay healthy. "

Just like that she was out of the hospital, heading to God knows where... About half an hour later she found her self staring at the ocean..taking in and out strong breaths.

Far away she saw a happy couple, laughing and walking together full of love..

"Why can't I have that? "(she thought..and it seemed out loud)

Just then she heard a voice behind her

"Keep you wish list thoughts on yourself."

She turned around facing the person to which the voice came from.

"And who are you?...and what did I do? "

"Huh! you were thinking out loud, about how you wanted to be like that couple. (he pointed at them) and I am just a person who was  trying to pick up my watch that had fell of."

"Wow and you happened to drop it of here? What a lame story.. that's the worst pick up line I have ever heard, just say you were checking me out."

The man closed his eyes for about four seconds then opened them staring at the girl before him

"Are you high?  Why would some one like me be checking a person like you, are you that desperate? "

With saying that he left Kara standing there still like a statue..

Later that evening Kara was in the library reviewing the past unpublished books, just when the voice of that man popped in her head.

'Why would someone like me be checking a person like you'

"What's wrong with me, I mean.. Someone like me?  Did he just degrade me?.. And what's with someone like him.. Is he a god? Snap out of it Kara,he is not worth your time." (She told herself)

The week slipped off so fast and the following week as well, Kara was now excited for her upcoming birthday, she thought of inviting her cousins and old friends for some re-union.

As she was looking for a place to celebrate an idea popped in her head why not one of those beautiful cultured hotels.. She would go find out the expenses and a nice spot for a birthday to be held.

Emelia's POV

Kara was someone who loved seeing old friends and family re-unite but she was definitely not a party person. She would enjoy the fun for some few minutes then she would get bored really quick.

"But with all that she has gone through maybe this is what she really needs,if she wants to make the most of it so be it. "

I am going to make sure her birthday will be exquisite,and I hope she will now stick to business and stop all this stupid marriage cycles.

So now I got to inform one of my old friends who works at the hotel Kara needs this.. She needs to be past all this and LET IT GO.

I cannot wait.. To see her old charming self!!
