Kara was scared and shaking Alexander noticed that and he tried his best to reach out to her, but failed miserably since part of his body still had pain,when he looked at Kara once again, Kara smiled and said
"Am glad that you survived....um.. I will go back home to have a change of clothes, the family outside is anxiously waiting to see you."
Alex felt that Kara was still not OK he badly wanted her to stay but he took a deep breath and said, "Come back soon and I know you too are a fighter. "
After saying that they had a brief kiss, before Kara stepped out of the room and called on other family members.
She went to her grandpa and smiled at him
"Am going for a rest"
Her grandpa looked at her, "Your father is safe, he won't be able to harm you again. "
She gave a faded laughter before she walked away from the hospital.
LATER THAT NIGHT
Kara was walking heading to the room that her father was kept in, as she got closer nervousness ran in her body thus why her grandpa made sure that the room was surrounded with bodyguards and his son would not easily escape or harm anyone. When she reached at the door one of the bodyguards blocked her from entering inside.
Kara: COME on.........do you think even for a second i would listen to you?
Bodyguard: Miss Kara, as much as i respect you, i respect my job too and I will not keep my job in jeopardy.
Kara: Look... as much as what my grandpa threatened you with I assure you that nothing of a sort will happen if only you give few minutes with him, he is my dad after all and I like any other daughter who was abandoned unknowingly seek out to see him, I really need to see and talk to him!
Kara gave a frustrated sigh before looking up to the bodyguard again
Bodyguard: And do you think he will want to speak to you the dude is sick.. and (before he could keep on speaking Kara cut in)
Kara: I respect you too you know and as much as you respect me I would like for you to respect the one's dear to me!
Bodyguard : I am sorry miss Kara. Fine I will be here and please do not look the door completely once you are inside.
Kara gave a faded smile and uttered a thank you.

Walking inside and seeing the sight of his dad standing at the window brought memories back, Beautiful ones
He loved windows, standing and staring at the sky and everything going through out the day, he used to say, "This is where I am at my deepest thoughts, I get to think of so many things, the bad and the good but still lots of brilliant ideas and moments come out of this place!"
In a whisper Kara called on her dad.... still there was no response,... She did not want to start crying right now! As she called on him again, he said, "I heard you princess. "( in a whisper) but Kara heard it and her heart fluttered!
He did not turn to look at her.... he kept speaking while staring outside the window
"You know why I liked the windows so much?...i get to see lots of things out there... activities and moments but the ever beautiful scene I very first saw when I stared at the window, was your mom's face sitting under a tree fixing her torn shoe and I was only eighteen back then. She was the moment I always dreamed of having! Her.
Kara POV
I smiled at what he said no wonder he became addicted to staring at windows.
A tear of happiness fell from her eyes.
As she kept listening to him from a distance
Dad kept on saying, "All I knew was that she goes to the same school as me. But I was determined to find out more about her and I did, I got to close to and managed to be her friend though it was never easy. After six months I did confess my feelings to her and I got rejected, the famous Jack who everyone so loved was rejected by her... I respected her decision and I kept being friends with her, after a year and a half we became more like best friends and I collected all my strength and confessed that I still did like her romantically,she smiled and said, "You are a keeper and yes I like you too romantically. " After her saying that I was over excited, that sentence was like a song to me for the whole week! (he gave one of his genuine smile remembering that scene as they professed their love)
I do not why I was crying this much, but I felt that Dad really loved so much! He continued, "We had it all, the beautiful couple, they were hard times but we always came out strong, I proposed to her after two years of dating and she said Yes! I was beyond happy and I said to myself She was going to be my wife, mother of my children and I will always protect her at all cost! . We got married six months later, one day as I was staring at window I saw her in our garden at our lovely home,she looked up at me and she was carrying so many bags,I thought to myself "She never buys this much what was the occasion? " then she started taking out what she had in the bags and I could feel myself screaming, she had so many baby clothes and right there I knew we were going to be parents and she was going to be an awesome mom! " The window became my favorite place... but as years passed and you were born.... we were happy still but things started to change and the Window became my worst nightmare!
