The Call... and a visit to MOM 💙

"Mr Safari a pleasure it is for you to call me at this hour I must say! "

"You seem delighted to have my call."

Kara mumbled.... Some words that he couldn't quite hear.

"What is it that you want then.. Um.. Mr Safari. "

"There maybe a change of plans on your birthday venue Miss Reweta."

SILENCE********

"Hello? Are you still listening? "

"Why the change? It does not make sense I was told and made sure of that the place is opened for functioning events... Now why tell me there is a change of plan? "

Alexander took a deep breathe and spoke up
"It was never an official matter discussed it was just assumed it was a better place of events but I came to a conclusion that it is not suitable anymore. "

"So it was your doing!!just woke up and decided the place was of limits to events?"

Alexander remained silent, 'Damn this woman is difficult '(he thought to himself)

Just when he was about to answer he heard a shout then silence on the other line.

Shocked as he was he called on her on the phone.

"Miss?.... Hello... Miss?...... Miss Reweta are you alright? (He felt the urge to ask)

Then she replied in a fading tone

"Ye..ah am... all... Go... od.."

"What the hell happened? (it came out as a demand)

"I kinda..slipped and fell on the wet bathroom and my towel flipped off. "

Right after she finished explaining to him, realization hit her!

"Crap!! I just explained to a stranger that am naked!! Naked.. Damn it.. Kara.. So stupid of you now what will he think of me... Urghhh!! hate my mouth"(She thought)

Alexander found himself smiling.... not only did she think to herself but thought it out loud and he happened to hear her. 'This girl is hilarious'(He thought) After.. the moment of silence Alexander spoke up

"So.. Miss Reweta.. sorry for the incident that took place in your bathroom... and ummm.. about the venue will look into something else and inform you. "

Kara took a frustrated sigh and thought of Emelia's words of praise on how Alexander is a gorgeous hunk...She mumbled to herself, "Gorgeous they say he is and sexy.. well I see nothing than an egoistic jerk.. how dare he? "

Just then she heard Alexander replying to her ...

"Heard that again! so that's what you see in me, huh?.. But sweetheart all that they've said about me is true.. am looking forward to set my eyes on you."

Right after saying that Kara hang up on him

KARA'S POV

"Unbelievable I thought out loud again! "(she said to herself) And what did he mean by "Heard that again? "

And it clicked, he must have heard me, when I was complaining on how he thinks of me on explaining to a stranger that I was naked.

By 11:30 I was already asleep.
On the next day I arrived early in the hospital took my grandpa with me and our journey to my mother's grave begun.
Grandpa was still upset with me on the issue of almost getting married again without his acknowledgement ,and I did feel bad,sometimes I just think that I am being too selfish and not caring about my other close loved ones, I understood my mistake.. And I will not want to repeat it again.

So once we arrived at the graveyard, I took the flowers we bought on our way here and kept them on the grave, the area was kept clean. I looked down to my mother's grave and out of nowhere a tear fell of from my eyes.

I looked at Grandpa and it seemed he was a bit far though he was looking at my mother's grave.

"Grandpa.. why the long face? "

" Well......... I happened to remember when I first saw her and I thought that she would make a good wife, mother and a great daughter in law. "

"Wow.. that's.. A blessing. "

"She was a blessing enough to give birth to someone I sincerely loved the minute I laid eyes upon to, You were so little and I thought I would make you grow into a blooming rose forever and that man who would take you away from us will be so lucky and blessed to have you.. You are gold!! Now do not go running around to every man you meet crying to get married. "

"Oh Grandpa I am sorry I hurt you, I was stupid doing all the kind of acts I did back then ,i would do my best into improving me to a better lady,i promise. "

"You better! "

I knew what I wanted to know was going to change the good mood we were in but I wanted to know.. I just wanted to.

"But Grandpa what happened back then? That day what really happened? "

Grandpa tried his best to be comfortable with my question but he failed terribly, his face looked depressed,upset and hurt. I myself hated seeing him like this but I just reached a point were I wanted a clue to what really happened in that day.

"I.. I.. truly do not know myself what really happened, I... I really don't.... only my son, your father I mean knows the story. "

"This is crazy.. you know.. Looks like everyone is trying to run away from the truth, no one wants to reveal anything."

There was silence and my grandpa stared at me with an emotion I could not figure out before he said to me,"I am waiting for you to remember. "

"What do I need to remember? "

Before he could answer I turned around to look at what my Grandpa had seem to be staring at, only to look at the familiar back of a person who I was not expecting to see anytime soon or ever. And when I took the first step towards his direction before we could both notice a taxi passed by he got in and just like that he was gone again before our own naked eyes.

I turned to my Grandpa who seemed exhausted and frustrated I looked at him and said to him

"You saw that didn't you? "

"Saw what? "He questioned back

"Him."

"I do not have a clue on what you are trying to say Kara! "

"Do not play dumb with me, at least not in an important matter as this come on grandpa.. "(I pleaded with him)

"What do you want me to say then? "

"That the person we saw earlier is my dad and your son who looked like he was trying to run away from us.... again!!the activity he always does best."

"You know before the final leave back then this was what he said, I will always run away from her, tell her I am sorry. "

"Whats that supposed to mean?"

"I myself do not know either little one, but one thing is for sure you know something that many of us are unaware of!"

This brought more questions popping in my head what do I know that I cannot figure out.. Yet!!
