Where are you?

KARA'S POV

I choose to be busy after  two weeks had passed with no information at all on the whereabouts of Emelia, I really felt guilty like really really guilty.

I don't know what am I, "A worse best friend? Or a mean cousin? never thought he was ready to settle I just ran to conclusions and now she is carrying his child so messed up.. urghh."

Her phone is off and she is not in her apartment, then could she have gone to visit her Aunt?

I was still in deep thoughts when a phone call distracted me, I picked it up

'Hello Reweta's bookstore to whom am I speaking to? '

'Mr Safari speaking I would like to meet with you and talk I have a proposal for you, if you do have free time can you meet me today at noon? '

This person sure sounds different from the Safari I know, change of personality much?(I thought before answering him)

'Uhh.. sure I will be there noon it is and  place?'

I wrote down the the place, and after the call had ended. I went back to trying to call Emelia.

After an hour of calling and thinking where she might be, I took a long sigh and said,  "Wherever you are I just hope you are safe, you and the baby."

Moira had begun her search of Oscar, she hated and despised that man, "What was he a monster?  Nah that's a really small word for a person like him I don't even know if he is human! "

That night at Kara's birthday party she was so glad to have ended hers and Nate's fling.

Moira was truly a heart warming person, but relationships were so ugly for her, she never got lucky, if it does not end in tragedy, then it ends in cheating... she just wanted to break free from relationships and enjoy herself, loving herself and keeping herself healthy.

Moira was at her brother's office speaking to him on the family gathering

"Look Alexander, I came all the way here because I wanted my brother, not some workaholic freak, we have missed you and we would really love for you to make it this time in family gathering. "

Alexander stared at her sister before saying, "I thought I made it quite clear that I am so busy right now. "

"Come on Alex don't test my patience I can tell Papa, to easily demote you, or take you out of that position for good. "

"First, I worked my ass off to have this position, second he cannot do that because he will need votes from other board members who the last time I checked they are pretty impressed in my skills,and I got a contract signed of how long will I be in this position, so there go run to Papa to throw me out. "

Moira took a deep breathe, and looked at her brother,

"Listen please, I... I still get those dreams of when my child was pushed down  the stairs and I was just standing there like a zombie not knowing what to do, am looking for Oscar and I am opening a case for him, I am broken, shattered and distressed but never I repeat never would I miss the family gatherings, for I know how much they mean to me, and the ability to get to see that everyone is in good health it's a blessing, that's
the only time I can be far away from my problems and enjoy the moment of happiness, so I..... I mean we would really love for your presence to be there."

"Moira... I..  did not know the nightmares are back!"

"How would you? So tomorrow I will be returning, hope you will be next to me on the road back home,see yah, and do keep up the good work, I myself wouldn't trade you or replace you if I were dad! "

(They both laughed)

Kara was sitting at the restaurant waiting for Mr Safari, who seemed to be late,

"He is doing this on purpose making me wait, seriously how low can he go? "

Just then a gentlemen came and asked if she is Miss Reweta.

"Yes I am, ohh do not tell me you are his bodyguard, he sent a bodyguard, great just great! "

The gentleman said, "You are wrong, I am him. "

He then took a sit and smiled at her but she did not return the smile rather she had a confused look

"Excuse me!  Who are you? "

"I am Eric Safari, that's my full name. "

"Oh so... Uh.. guess I kinda thought you were the other Safari, I mean so you are........

"The elder brother, so you met Alexander.... "

"You are just so different ,anyways tell me what this is all about.. "

"Well I heard you write, publish and sell books and I got moved, I am a lover of books, but there are other people who are more in need of them.

"I don't get you. "

"You will. You see I have a school, and I wanted the right books for my students to improve their knowledge and understanding in different aspects of life not only academics ,you just seem as the right bookstore,  I would love doing business with you. "

"Wow, I am overwhelmed, this is just a great opportunity I would love to come and see the school and the library and the students to speak to them, know of their interest in what kind of books they read, before bringing the books straight without consulting them."

"Great, then tomorrow do come with me, the school is kind of far. "

"Happy to meet you Mr Safari. "

"Feel free to call me Eric, I will be in touch for any changes."

"Farewell. "

They parted ways, and Kara was back into finding Emelia, that night she went to Emelia's apartment  searched for at least the tinniest bit of something that will show her the whereabouts of her best friend but she got none..

She sat on the bed staring at the ceiling, then back to her friend's room only to notice a box she went near took it and it read MIFEPRISTONE!

Shock was written all over her face, the box was empty inside,

"Oh my God, Emelia tell me you did not take the pills, you did not abort the baby please tell me that, ohh God where the hell are you? "

Tears were rolling down her face.
