On the Dark Aster

Knowing that they had been boarded, Nebula was beginning to panic. 'The starboard kern has been breached!' she said, 'We have been boarded!' 'Continue our approach,' Ronan replied. 'But the Nova Corps have engaged!' Nebula said. 'None of that will matter when we reach the surface.' Ronan replied. 'Shield security doors, now!' Nebula ordered. 'Get out of my way!'

Meanwhile, Rocket was piloting his ship through the battle, shooting many of the Necrocraft who surrounded him. But soon, he found himself in the shadow of the Dark Aster. 'Oh, man,' he muttered.

Back at the Nova base, Nova Prime was giving orders to the Nova Corps fleet. 'All Nova pilots,' she said, 'interlock and form a blockade. The Dark Aster must not reach the ground!' And with that, all the Nova fighters began forming a blockade using energy from the wings, in a way that looked similar to a giant net, covering the Dark Aster over, and slowing it down.

The Doctor led his friends through the Dark Aster's dimly lit corridors, using his sonic screwdriver as a light source. 'I can still barely see,' Drax said. Then Groot slowly reached his arm out, releasing tons of tiny light spores which illuminated all around the room, as everyone else watched in wonder. 'When did you learn to do that?' Drax asked. 'Pretty sure the answer is "I am Groot."' Peter replied. 'The flight deck is 300m this way,' Gamora said. 'I want you all to know that I am grateful for your acceptance after my blunders,' Drax said, 'and it is pleasing to once again have friends.' 'Tell me about it,' the Doctor replied. 'Doctor, you are my friend.' Drax said. 'You too,' the Doctor replied. 'You, Quill, are my friend.' Drax said. 'Thanks,' Quill replied. 'This dumb tree, he is my friend.' Drax said. Groot hummed in agreement. 'And this green whore she is-' Drax began. 'Oh, you must stop!' Gamora snapped. But a yell could be heard, and Nebula jumped in front of them. 'Gamora,' she began, 'look at what you have done. You have always been weak. You stupid, traitorou-' But before she could finish, Drax shot her with a rocket launcher, knocking her to the other end of the room. 'Nobody talks to my friends like that,' Drax said. 'Head to the flight deck,' Gamora said. 'Me and the Doctor will shut down the power to the security doors.' And for a moment, they parted ways.

Meanwhile, on the ground, Yondu had survived his crash, but found himself surrounded by an army of Sakaarans. 'Yondu Udonta,' their leader barked, 'order your men to turn on the Nova Corps!' But Yondu didn't listen, and didn't hesitate to pull his arrow out and begin whistling , flipping his arrow around in a circle. 'Enough nonsense, Ravager time to-' the Sakaarans' leader began before the arrow quickly pierced him, and quickly flew around all the other Sakaarans, killing them all within seconds.

Onboard the Dark Aster, Gamora and the Doctor caught up with Nebula, who quickly recovered from her injury but putting her bones back together. 'Oh that must hurt,' the Doctor muttered. 'Nebula, please,' Gamora said. But Nebula attacked her instantly and Gamora pulled down the power source, ready to dismantle it. But Nebula hit her with a taser sword, and Gamora had no choice to defend herself, leaving the Doctor to attempt to dismantle it with his screwdriver, but to no avail, before he was also attacked. 'Gamora, hold her off!' the Doctor said, 'I'll try to find out how to disable this thing!'

'Enough of this,' Ronan said,from the flight deck, 'Necrocraft pilots, enact immolation initiative.' On this command, all the Necrocraft began to dive bomb the city below, causing panic and destruction. 'They're dive bombing the city,' one pilot said, 'Denaarian Saal, should we break formation?' 'No, hold your positions!' Saal replied. A moment later, Rocket had shot one of the Necrocraft, saving an innocent family. 'Keep Ronan up there Saal,' Rocket said, 'we'll take care of the people down here.' 'I can't believe I'm taking orders from a hamster.' Saal moaned.

Meanwhile as Peter, Drax and Groot were attempting to make it to the flight deck, they came across Korath with an group of Sakaarans. 'Star-Lord,' Korath said. 'Finally,' Peter replied, before Korath threw him across the room, as Drax and Groot started fighting the nearby Sakaarans. 'You thief!' Korath said, before Drax attacked him, allowing Peter to escape. But Drax was then on the ground again. 'You will never make it to Ronan,' Korath said to him.
In the city below, Rocket was slowing down, preparing to fire at the approaching Necrocraft. 'Everybody shoot them before they hit the ground!' he said, and all the Ravager ships did just that.
Gamora was then sword fighting Nebula whilst the Doctor was trying to find something to destroy the power source with, as Quill, Drax and Groot were fighting the Sakaarans just metres away. Drax had finally managed to beat Korath. 'Finger to the throats means death,' he said, killing Korath a moment later, by ripping out the electrical implant in his ear. Quill walked over to him. 'Metaphor,' Drax said. 'Well, sorta,' Quill replied. He then saw another wave of Sakaarans approaching. 'Oh no,' he said, but before any problems arose, Groot completely annihilated the wave of Sakaarans using his right arm-branch, smashing them against the walls repeatedly before releasing them. He then gave a happy smile to Quill and Drax as if to ask how he did.

Meanwhile on the flight deck, Roman was approaching the window. 'Xandar!' he yelled. 'You stand accused! Your wretched peace treaty will not save you now! It is the tinder on which you burn!' He then used the Stone within his hammer to destroy the blockade that the Nova Corps fleet had created - and the fleet itself. The ship then moved forward, crushing many of the pilots. 'Rocket!' Saal called out. 'HOLD ON SAAL!' Rocket replied before Saal was crushed to death.
Blasting the blockade out had also created a hole where Gamora was fighting Nebula. The Doctor had found a pole on the ground and was preparing to destroy the power source with it, but Nebula turned her attention away from Gamora and towards him, attacking him and causing him to be narrowly hanging on to the ledge. 'DOCTOR, HANG ON!' Gamora yelled before being attacked again. The Doctor was still hanging on to the ledge with his sonic screwdriver in his mouth, but he had dropped the pole.
Back on the ground, Rocket was worried about the current situation. 'Quill, you gotta hurry,' he said, 'the city's been evacuated, but we're getting our asses kicked down here!' 'They haven't opened the door!' Peter replied.
Meanwhile the Doctor had made it back onto the platform, whilst Gamora and Nebula were fighting. But Nebula was soon electrocuting Gamora with her taser sword. 'No!' the Doctor yelled. He then took out his sonic screwdriver and disabled the electricity setting on Nebula's weapon, allowing Gamora to gain the upper hand, and causing Nebula to almost fall off the ledge. 'Take my hand!' the Doctor yelled. 'Nebula!' Gamora added, 'sister, help us fight Ronan, you know he's crazy!'
'I know you're both crazy,' Nebula said before severing her bionic hand and falling off the ledge. 'No!' Gamora and the Doctor both yelled. But Nebula had managed to steal a Ravager ship. 'Get out!' she yelled at the pilot as she threw him out and flew away.
All the Sakaarans in the other room were dead, and Gamora took a nearby Sakaaran weapon, opening it up and granting them access to the flight deck. 'Yes!' the Doctor said, as they entered the room, and the last two Sakaarans were killed. Then Peter aimed up the Hadron Enforcer, and fired it at Ronan,  seemingly killing him as he vanished in a puff of smoke. Peter took off his mask. 'You did it!' Drax said, and everyone smiled. But their smiles faded away when they saw Ronan somehow getting back up...
