After making their narrow escape, everyone was getting their things. Peter was searching for his ship. 'Yeah! There it is. Get my ship.' he said. 'It's the Milano, the orange and blue one over in the corner. His TARDIS is in there as well. What does it look like again, Doctor?' 'It's a blue police box!' the Doctor responded, putting on his suit and trenchcoat. 'They crumpled my pants up into a ball!' Rocket moaned. 'That's rude! They folded yours!'
Peter then pulled his suitcase out, and looked through all his stuff. 'The Orb's there, let's go!' Gamora said.
'Wait wait wait a minute,' Peter said. 'That bastard didn't put it back!'
'What didn't he put back?' the Doctor asked. Then he realised what wasn't put back.
'You are risking your life...for that?' the Doctor said. 'You know why!' Peter replied. 'Oh yeah, I forgot, the Doctor responded. 'That's really stupid, but in a way...honourable I guess.'
'What's going on?' Gamora asked.
'Private business!' the Doctor replied.
Peter gave Gamora the bag with the Orb inside. 'I'll be right back,' Peter said. 'How are you gonna possibly-' Gamora began.
'Just keep the Milano and the TARDIS close by. Go, go!' he said. Gamora sighed. 'Come with me, Gamora.' the Doctor said.

Peter donned his mask and took his guns and fought through a hallway of prison guards to reach his Walkman.
While this was happening, his friends were sat in the Milano, confused. 'How's he going to get to us?!' Rocket asked. 'He declined to share that information with me.' Gamora replied.
'I know!' the Doctor replied, 'I'll use this!' pointing to the TARDIS.
'What are you doing?' Rocket asked. 'I'm picking him up! I'll be right back!' the Doctor said, as he entered the TARDIS, dematerialising it away.
Rocket sighed. 'What is wrong with them two? I ain't waiting around for a humie and a Time Lord with a death wish,'he moaned. 'You got the Orb, right?' Rocket said to Gamora. 'Yes,' she responded, searching through Peter's bag. But the Orb was missing. He had kept it with him so they couldn't leave.

Meanwhile, Peter was juggling the Orb, and then used it to get his revenge on the big blue bastard from earlier-through whacking him in the head with the Orb, getting his Walkman back.
The Doctor then materialised his TARDIS just outside the Kyln, and Peter flew into it with his mask and jet pack boots. 'You OK?' the Doctor asked. 'Yeah,' Peter replied. 'You can take the mask off now, the TARDIS is protecting us.' the Doctor said. 'Wanna see this thing in action?' he said, typing in coordinates. 'Yeah,' Peter replied.
'Well then, allons-y!' the Doctor replied. The Doctor dematerialised from its current position.
'If we don't leave now, we will be blown to bits!' Rocket said. 'No!' Gamora replied. 'We're not leaving without the Orb!' Then they heard a strange whirring noise behind them, as the TARDIS materialised. 'Behold,' Drax said, as it then fully materialised. The Doctor and Peter then emerged. 'These two show spirit,' Drax said, 'and shall make keen allies in the battle against Ronan. What were you retrieving anyway?' Peter pulled out the Walkman. Gamora sighed. 'You're an imbecile,' Drax said.

A couple hours later, the Milano was flying around. Rocket was building one of his new inventions - which were always weapons of some sort.
Quill caught him taking apart his ship for materials to build the weapon with.
'Woah woah woah - Yo, Ranger Rick, what are you doing?' Quill asked. 'You can't take apart my ship without asking me! What is that?' 'Don't touch that, it's a bomb.' Rocket replied. 'A bomb?' Peter asked, 'And you leave it lying around?' 'I was gonna put it in a box.' Rocket replied. 'What's a box gonna do?' Peter asked.
'How about this one?' Rocket asked, pulling out a small present.
'No no - hey!' Quill yelled. 'Leave it alone!'
'What is that?' Rocket asked.
'Shut up!' Peter replied.
'Hey,' Rocket replied. 'Or we could use that one,' he said, pointing at the TARDIS.
'Oh no no no, you are not using this box.' The Doctor replied. 'It's a TARDIS.'
'What does "TARDIS" mean?' Rocket asked.
'It stands for "Time and Relative Dimension in Space".' the Doctor replied. 'Wanna look inside?'
'Yeah sure,' Rocket said, opening the door, 'I bet it will be tiny-'
And he was shook by the TARDIS's true size and scale. 'What the...' Rocket said. 'Hey Groot, come look at this thing!' he yelled.
Groot came to the back of the ship, and he was next to see the TARDIS. 'I am Groot!' he said amazedly.
'Yes I know, Groot, it's bigger on the inside! THIS IS THE COOLEST SHIP EVER!' Rocket said, excitedly running around the console room. 'Can we go for a ride?'
'I think using my ship for now would be a good idea,' Quill said. 'And what's that other thing?'
'That's for when things are getting really hardcore.' he replied. 'Or if you wanna blow up moons.'
'No one is blowing up moons,' Gamora said. 'Definitely not.' the Doctor added.
'Ah, you two want to suck the joy out of everything.'

'So, listen,' Peter said, 'I'm gonna need your buyer's coordinates.'
'We're heading in the right direction,' Gamora said, 'for now.'
'If we're gonna work together,' Peter replied, 'you should try trusting me a little bit.'
'And how much do you trust me?' Gamora asked.
'I'd trust you, and you,' he said, also looking at the Doctor, 'if you told me what this was. Because I'm guessing it's some kind of weapon.'
'I don't know what it is,' Gamora said.
'Frankly, neither do I,' the Doctor added. 'I just don't want Ronan getting it.'
'Well, if it's a weapon we should use it against Ronan.' Drax suggested.
'Put it down you fool,' Gamora said. 'You'll destroy us all!'
'Or just you, murderess!' Drax retorted.
'I let you live once, princess!' Gamora snapped.
'I am not a princess!' Drax replied.
'Hey!' Peter interrupted. 'Nobody is killing anybody on my ship!'
'And don't even take this into the TARDIS.' the Doctor warned.
'We're stuck together, until we get the money,' Peter said.
'I have no interest in money,' Drax said.
'I didn't really,' the Doctor replied. 'But let's be honest, who could resist 4 billion units?'
'Great.' Peter said. 'That means more money for the four of us.'
Groot groaned, agitated from being ignored.
'For the five of us, then.' Peter said. 'Partners.'
'We have an agreement, but I would never be partners with the likes of you,' Gamora said.
'Would you fancy a trip with me, Gamora?' the Doctor replied.
'Not really, Doctor.' Gamora replied.
'I'll tell the buyer we're on our way. And Quill, your ship is filthy.'
The Doctor laughed at Quill's ship being called filthy. 'Oh, wait till she sees my clean and tidy TARDIS, Peter.' he said.
'Clean and tidy? It's a bit rusty to be honest.' Peter said.
'That's true,' the Doctor said.
'Oh, and she has no idea,' Peter said. 'If I had a black light, this place would look like a Jackson Pollock painting.'
'You got issues, Quill,' Rocket said.
'Yes.' the Doctor said. 'Severe issues.'

Meanwhile, Ronan had arrived with the Dark Aster at the Kyln, and was forcibly searching for Gamora's whereabouts.
Sakaarans were taking prisoners and guards alike, holding them at gunpoint. 'I swear, I don't know where they went, I swear!' one guard whimpered in fear.
'If he knew where they were headed,' Nebula said, 'he would have already told us.' She was holding a guard at sword point. 'Ronan, the Nova Corps sent a fleet to defend the prison,' she said.
'Well, then,' Ronan began, 'send Necrocraft to every corner of the quadrant. Find the Orb. Any means, any price.'
'And this place?' Nebula asked.
'The Nova can't know what we're after,' Ronan said. A guard screamed as he was stabbed.
'Cleanse it,' Ronan ordered.
