Music was blasting throughout the Milano. Antique music, from the days of yesteryear. 'You have a nice taste in music don't you, Peter?', the Doctor asked.
'Thanks,' Peter said as he scrolled through a news article on a screen.

"Riots have broken out across the Kree Empire today, protesting the recent peace treaty between the Kree Emperor and Xandar's Nova Prime.'

The Doctor sighed at the news. 'When will people realise that war is not a good thing?', he said, walking into the TARDIS.
'What is your ship called? It's just a box.' Peter said. 'A wooden box,' he said tapping it.
'It's called the TARDIS. Stands for Time and Relative Dimension in Space.', the Doctor explained. 'Do you want to step inside?' he asked.
'Alright then,' Peter replied. The Doctor then entered the TARDIS and Peter reluctantly followed him.

'Woah,' Peter said as he opened the door and discovered that inside the TARDIS was a huge room, with a central console that had a blue shaft

'Woah,' Peter said as he opened the door and discovered that inside the TARDIS was a huge room, with a central console that had a blue shaft. The console was glowing, and there were rusty yellow circles all over the walls. After he had seen it for about a second, he checked outside, and then went straight back in. 'How is this possible?' Peter asked. He was amazed and a little bit bewildered by the true size of the TARDIS. 'On the outside, it's just a box, but on the inside...your ship's bigger than mine!'
'Is it? I've never noticed!' the Doctor said. Then they went back outside into Peter's own ship, the Milano.
Then Peter noticed a small torch like device in the Doctor's pocket. 'What's that?' he asked. 'Sonic screwdriver,' the Doctor replied. 'It doesn't maim, or wound, or kill, but it does everything else.'
'Do you use it for...private business?' Peter asked, smirking.
'No,' the Doctor said defensively, 'and you are disgusting!' Peter giggled. 'It seems that you have an old Sony Walkman.', the Doctor said, pointing at Peter's pocket. 'How do you know what it is?' Peter said.
'I've been to Earth before,' the Doctor said, 'and no matter how wonderful and amazing all the other planets are, Earth is my favourite.'
'Thanks.' Peter said.
'Where'd you get that?', the Doctor asked. 'My mom gave it to me when I was a child. Contained all of her favourite songs on this mixtape. That was before she died of cancer, and that's when I was picked up by the Ravagers.'
'I'm sorry about your mother.', the Doctor said, sympathetically. 'I have lost a lot of people over the years.' They then hugged. 'Is there one which bothers you more than the others?'
'I can't tell you right now.', the Doctor said.
Then a call came in on an intercom system. 'Peter, you have a call,' Bereet said. 'Hide!' Peter whispered to the Doctor as Bereet inevitably pressed the button to answer the call. The Doctor then put on his perception filter and watched. He could clearly see that Yondu was not happy.
'Quill?', Yondu said. 'Hey Yondu,' Peter replied. 'I'm here on Morag, ain't no Orb, ain't no you!' Yondu said.
'Well, when I was in the neighbourhood, I'd thought I'd save you the hassle.' Peter replied.
'Well where you at now boy?' Yondu asked. 'I feel really bad about this, but I'm not going to tell you.'
'I slaved to get you this orb!'
'Yeah, making a few calls is slaving me?!'
'We do not do that to each other, we're Ravagers! We got a code!'
'Yeah, and that code is steal from everybody!'
'When I picked you up on Terra-'
'Yeah, you picked me up'
'-these boys of mine wanted to eat you!'
'Yeah?!'
'They'd never tasted any Terran before, I stopped them! You're alive because of me, and I will find you and I will-'
The Doctor then took out his screwdriver and disconnected the call.
'Oh sorry, am I interrupting something?', he said.
'Thanks, but no thanks.', Peter said. 'I was gonna disconnect the call anyway.'
'Oh, were you? Ok. Where are we going, then?', the Doctor asked.
'Xandar,' Peter said, 'to drop this chick off, and to sell the Orb to the Broker.'
'Can we trust this broker?', the Doctor asked.
'Well, yeah.' Peter replied. The Milano, with the TARDIS aboard, then set off for Xandar.

Meanwhile on Morag, Yondu was extremely furious that Peter had supposedly disconnected the call from him.
'Put a bounty on him!', he yelled, '50k! But I want him back alive!'
'Alive?!', one of his crew mates asked. 'I told you, when I picked that kid up, we should have delivered him like we had to! He was cargo, and you have always been soft on him!'
'YOU'RE THE ONLY ONE I HAVE BEEN SOFT ON!' Yondu yelled back.
'And don't you worry about Mr Quill, as soon as I bring him back here, I'm gonna kill him myself!'
He paused for a moment. 'The only thing we really need to worry about,' Yondu said, is who out there wants that orb!'

Aboard the Dark Aster, a Kree warship, the fanatical Kree terrorist known as Ronan the Accuser was planning his next move.
'You can't do this! Our governments signed a peace treaty!' an innocent Xandarian yelled in fear.
'My government knows no saint,' Ronan replied, 'you Xandarians and your culture are a disease.'
'You will never rule Xandar!', his prisoner said through his breath.
'No. I WILL CURE IT!', he shouted before brutally murdering his prisoner with his hammer. Black blood trickled down the back of the victim's chair.
Then Nebula, one of Ronan's two personal assassins and Thanos's daughter walked in. 'Ronan, Korath has returned.', she said.

Korath began to tell Ronan of the news as he, Nebula and his other personal assassin Gamora - who was also an adopted daughter of Thanos - looked on.
'Master, one of them is a thief, an outlaw who calls himself Star-Lord, the other one seems to call himself the Doctor.' Korath said. 'We do not know much about them, but it seems that one of them has a TARDIS. We also know that they have an agreement to sell the orb to an intermediary known as the Broker.'
'I promised Thanos that I would get the orb for him,' Ronan said, 'and only then would he destroy Xandar for me.'
Ronan then stood up. 'Nebula,' he said, 'go to Xandar and get me the orb.'
'It will be my honour,' she replied.
'It will be your doom,' her sister Gamora warned.
She then turned to Ronan. 'If this happens again,' she said, 'you'll be facing our father without his prize.'
'I'm a daughter of Thanos like you.' Nebula said to Gamora.
'But I know Xandar,' Gamora replied.
'Ronan has already decreed that I-' Nebula began.
'Don't speak up,' Ronan interrupted. He turned towards Gamora. 'You will not fail me.'
She coldly stared directly into his eyes. 'Have I ever?', she replied.
