Love You More: A Rose and Adrian Love Story

With me? Seriously?

After Dimitri was taken away, I was crushed. Even though I wasn't in love with him, per say, he was still one of my best friends. I would always love him, just more in the way that I love Lissa and not in the way I love Adrian. 

Adrian held me tight when I tried to break free to kick some guardian ass. He didn't want me to get hurt, or worse... suspended from guardianship. But I was still kinda pissed. He doesn't think I can take care of myself! I've killed more strigoi then he will ever see in his lifetime! 

"You are the mother of our children! If you get killed... I can't do this without you, Rose." He said, his eyes tearing up. I walked up to him from where I was standing and placed my hands on his cheeks, forcing him to look at me.

"I was not going to die. I probably would have gotten a little banged up, but I definatly would not have died" I said sternly. "Now I have to go help Dimitri. Are you ok here?" I asked him. He nodded his head and I turned and left.

**Time Skip**

 I found Dimitri with Lissa in the royal court room, standing in front of Tatianna. There were a million guardians surrounding them, waiting for Dimitri to attack. I burst in the doors like an avenging angle, ready to severely mangle and kill anyone who got in my way.

Turns out, that was very unnecessary. Tatianna was just about to let him go when she saw me. She knew about my history with Dimitri, so when I stormed up to them, she said this.

"I will let you free on one condition. You must live with a guardian, and it looks like Guardian Hathaway is volunteering!" 

I stared at her, dumbstruck. Was she suggesting that my first love, the man I lost my virginity to, was going to live with me? Yes...apparently she was.

"I..I um...give me a second." I said, excusing myself. I pulled out my phone and called Adrian. While I was explaining the situation to him, he was completely silent. When I finished, he sighed.

"Are you over him?" He asked me. 

"If I wasn't, I wouldn't have married you." I said reassuringly. He was silent again for a moment before he spoke.

"Fine. I'll move Toby in with us for a little while until he leaves."

"I don't know when that will be babe. It could be years from now." 

"Ok I love you bye!" He said, abruptly hanging up. I took a deep breath and walked back to the trio. 

"So?" Lissa asked. "What did Adrian say?"

"How did you know I was calling Adrian?"

"Who else would you call? What did he say?" She asked excitedly. I sighed.

"He said it was fine." I said.

"Yay!" Lissa exclaimed. Dimitri had this tortured look on his face that told me it was the opposite of yay.

**Time Skip**

Back at my house, I found Toby's room empty of everything but a double bed. It was kinda depressing.

"Do you have anything?" I asked him. He shook his head. Dimitri hadn't said a single word this entire time. "Well I'm sure we can get you something. For now I guess you can wear some of Adrian's clothes." He gave me a strange look. Then I realized that Adrian about six inches shorter than Dimitri.

"We'll figure something out, I promise." I said
