*knock knock*

"I got it." I called to Lissa from the front of the house. I opened the front door to see a breathtaking man with striking green eyes and perfectly messed hair that I missed so much it hurt.

"Rose..."

"Adrian?"

"Here." He said, shoving a pamphlet of papers towards me. At the top it read 'Divorce Agreement'. I looked up at him in shock, trying to process things. I just couldn't believe my marriage of four years was coming to such a quick and abrupt end. Finally, I forced the word to come out of my mouth.

"Ok" His eyes widened and his eyebrow arched perfectly over his shocked eyes.

"Ok? That's it? No bit of human emotion whatsoever?" He asked incredulously.

"What do you want me to say, Adrian? That I'm sorry for everything I've ever done to you? That I regret having an affair with him? Adrian I am, and I do! Can't you see that? I love you! Nobody else!" I said. He looked at me with a pained expression for a second before his phone rang in his pocket.

"Hello?...Alright...I'm on my way...love you, bye." He sighed and clicked his phone shut. "That was my mom. Emma's throwing a fit. I need to go." He turned to leave and I blurted out,

"Tell them I love them, please?"

"Of course, Rose. They already know that. It's your love for me I'm not sure about." He said as he climbed in his car and shut the door.

"Roza?" A deep, accented voice said from behind me. I spun around to see Dimitri standing in my hallway.

"What are you doing in my house?" I asked incredulously.

"We need to talk." He said.

"No we sure as hell don't! You need to get out of my house!" I exclaimed, gesturing towards the door.

"I know you still love me." He said calmly. I snorted and pushed past him into my kitchen. "Rose, you can't deny how you feel about me" He placed a hand on my shoulder and I spun around to stare at him.

"I am MARRIED! Dimitri, what happened between us was a mistake! Maybe if you had shown even a little bit of human decency, well, it probably wouldn't have changed anything, but we might have been able to be friends. I am not in love with you. As it stands at this point, Dimitri, I think it's best if we're not in each others lives."

"Roza..." He whispered, reaching up and caressing my cheek. I stepped back out of his reach.

"Don't call me that." I said cooly. "You need to go, Dimitri." He opened his mouth to say something but was promptly interrupted.

"You heard her. Leave." Adrian said from the doorway.

"You don't get to tell me what to do, Ivashkov." Dimitri said.

"Actually, since this is technically my house, I can make you leave if I want. Now don't make me call the authorities, Belikov. Leave." Adrian replied. Dimitri turned and looked at me with a pleading expression, but I wouldn't meet his eyes.

"Fine, Rose. If this is what you want, I'll leave. But I won't be coming back. Ever. So don't ask." He said and walked out the door, slamming it behind him.

"How much did you hear?" I asked.

"Enough" He said. "Did you really mean it? Are you really not in love with him?"

"I meant every bit of it." I said, taking a step closer to him. "I am only in love with one person. He's got striking blue eyes and a kind heart. I'm sure you'd like him."

"Rose, please, be serious." He whispered.

"I am completely and totally in love with you, Adrian Ivashkov. Nobody can ever change that or take your place. I promise." He grinned and wrapped his arms around me.

"You know, Rose, you drive me absolutely crazy sometimes." He said with a chuckle.

"What does this mean for us?" I asked. He sighed and pulled away from me slightly.

"I don't know if I can completely forgive you at this moment, but I sure as hell don't want to lose you." He said. Once again his phone rang a shrill ring.

"Hello?...Yes, yes. I know, Mom...yes I'm on my way...bye." I looked up at him and he smiled.

"Let's go get our kids, Rose."
