Chapter seven- drunk and driving, great
M I L L I E

I parked in one of the closes parking spots to the store. I quickly turned the engine off then looked around to make sure that there was no one here to see me.

I causally made my way into the store and walked right down the aisle and looked for the strongest alcohol the store owned. My eyes landed on a bottle of rum making me smirk. I picked it up and carried it to the cashier.

"Just ring it through." I said before the freckled boy could answer. I could tell that he didn't want to start anything by the way he reacted. His arms were shaky as he scanned it and placed it in the brown bag.

"Credit or cash?" He asked quietly. I held up my mother's credit card that I stole from a week ago. It still amazes me that she has not noticed.

I took a deep breath before swiping the card. After I did, I didn't regret a thing. I took the bag from the boy and flashed a smile before leaving.

I hurried into my car, not wanting to get caught.

I knew I shouldn't be doing this but I didn't care. I opened the bottle of rum and took five big gulps then sighed.

I turned on the engine of my car as I did up my seatbelt and started to drive. I always try drinking away my problems which usually helps so I tried again. The only thing was, I can't stop thinking about them. Sadie and Finn.

I took another two big gulps, letting the burning sensation run down my throat. I put the bottle down and tried to go as on the road ahead.

I could tell that the alcohol was starting to kick in as I started to feel a bit tipsy. Although on the bright side, I started to forget what I was thinking about.

I got off of the main road and entered into a familiar neighbor hood. I assumed it was mine since the kids that were playing basketball outside seemed oddly familiar.

I pulled up to my house and parked my car. I let out a sigh as I looked back at the bottle of rum.

Why do I do this to myself?

If Maddie were here right now she would be so disappointed in me. I can hear her saying, 'don't drink and drive Millie, it's bad!'

Geez, she acts more like my mother then mine does.

I turned off the engine then made my way into my house. I threw my keys onto my counter as I made my way up to my bedroom.

My mother would probably kill me if she knew that I was drunk.

I flopped onto my bed as I threw my phone down to my carpet. Covering my face with my hands, I let out a little sigh.

"Why did I do that?" I asked myself with a full laugh.

I laid down like that for a good five minutes before almost drifting off to sleep.

Instantly, I shot up at the sound of my phone going off, making the world around me spin. I stumbled down on to my carpet and picked up my phone, not bothering to check who was calling as I rubbed my head.

"Hello?" I asked in groggy voice. At that moment, I begged that the person on the other end of the line was not Maddie. She would kill me if she heard me like this.

"Hey babe," I boy chuckled. For some reason the voice didn't click making me confused.

"Hey," I responded dragging out the y.

"Ready for our date?" At those words, i froze. What date?

"Of course." I giggled like a dumb blond. He must have believed me making me smirk. "Come pick me up in ten." With that, I hung up and ran to my closet.

I picked out a nice black dress that stoped at my mid thigh. I may not know who this boy is, but I wanna look nice.

I made my way to my door where a pair of black high heels laid which matched my dress pretty well. I stumbled on my way over to my mirror making me laugh.

Quickly, I threw on some poorly done makeup- even though I thought it looked pretty good- then made my way down the stairs, just in time to get the door.

There a blond boy stood with a smile. I faintly remember him telling me I looked nice as I giggled. He held out his hand and led me over to his car.

"Ohh," I whispered to myself. Everything finally started to click when I saw his face. The phone call and date were with Romeo.

I slumped into his car and shut my eyes, tried from the alcohol.

"A table for two please." Romeo asked. I leaned my head on his shoulder causing me to stumble as I walked. Romeo reached down and took one of my hands, leaving the other one hanging. With that hand, I would sarcastically wave to the other guests who looked over to me.

"This is so nice, isn't it?" I asked a little to loudly. Romeo nodded his head with a smile as a waitress gave us a menu.

"A chocolate milkshake please!" I exclaimed without looking at the menu. Both Romeo and the waitress looked a little taken back but I shrugged them off.

"Two Salads please." Romeo ordered as the waitress smiled. As she walked away, he quickly looked over to me and whispered. "Are you okay?"

I could tell that he was concerned by the tone in his voice but I did not care. I copied his actions by leaning forward and whispering, "you bet babe." I batted my lashes as an idea came to mind.

I reached down to my pocket then started mentally cursing. I did not have any pockets meaning I did not end up bringing my cell phone.

"Can I have your phone?" I asked suddenly. He looked over to me with a confused look on his face. I widened my eyes as if I were to say, 'what?'

"Y-yeah, here." He stuttered as he handed me his phone. I flashed a smile before stumbling over to ladies room.

I jumped on to the sink with a giggle as I unlocked his phone. I went into his contacts and scrolled down them until I found who I was looking for.

I pressed dial to number and waited for the other line to connect. Of course, no one answered.

"Damn it." I said before I bursted out into a fit of giggles.

"Sorry I couldn't talk but if you leave a message, maybe we can. Leave a message after the beep.."

"Hey!" I yelled into the phone as I giggled. "I just wanted to say that I really miss you and I still love you! You should totally ditch that girl that your with right now so that we can get back together. When you do, give me a call! until then finnyyy."
