Chapter four- nice to have the hang back

I ran into my room about to jump onto my bed when I noticed Noah, Maddie, Rowan, Gaten, and Caleb, all sitting on top of my bed. "What are you guys- how did you guys-" I started asking, only to get cut off by Noah.

"We used the key you hide under underneath your flower pot and we're here-" he started, getting cut off by Maddie.

"Because we want to know what the hell you were doing with Romeo today?" She asked with her head titled. I bit my lip as I made my way over to my desk.

"I was with Romeo today because that was our way of making our relationship official." I said on the spot. I do have to admit, it sounded pretty lame but I hoped they would fall for it.

"Millie that's so lame," Maddie practically scuffed out. "When did you start dating?"

"Two and a half hours ago." I spat quickly, mentally cursing at myself.

"Two and a half hours ago?" Caleb questioned with wide eyes. I nodded my head then turned towards my window and sighed.

That's the best I could think of?

"Mills," Rowan started softly. I looked over to her in interested as she continued. "Are you only dating Romeo because you miss Finn?" I could see the sadness in her eyes but I didn't want to give in to the real reason.

No I was not only dating Romeo to get over Finn. I was dating Romeo to get over both, Finn and Sadie. If Sadie can tease me by dating Finn, I have every right to tease Sadie by dating Romeo.

"No," I lied as I looked up to ceiling. "That would be rather stupid. I'm over Finn." I looked back over to the group and saw looked of uncertainty.

They looked as if they were contemplating wether or not to believe me.

"Okay well, I just want to say that Romeo's an ass and you are crazy for going out with him." Maddie said quickly as she laid down. i sighed as i walked over to them, joining them on my bed.

I laid down next to them and sighed. I wish I could just tell them the truth. Of course I would never go out with Romeo. He cheated on my ex-best friend a countless amount of times. He is also one of the most stuck up people I have ever known.

"Hey guys, let's go and do something." Noah suggested as he hopped off my bed.

"We haven't hung out for a while so why not?" I shrugged.

"If there's food I'm in." Gaten replied quickly as he stood beside Noah. We all bursted into laughter as we followed the two boys down to my car.

On our way down, I felt a soft hand touch my shoulder, stopping me in my tracks. I looked behind me to see Maddie with sympathetic eyes.

"Be careful." Was all she said before pushing past me and making her way out to the car.

Be careful.

As we walked into the small diner, the smell of fresh food lingered in the air. A smile made its way to my face as we sat down and got ready to order.

"Six milkshakes please," Caleb smirked as he looked over to the young waitress that took our order. A sudden smile appeared on her face as she wrote down the order on her paper. "Two chocolate, two vanilla and two strawberry." He finished as we watched her cheeks turn a dark scarlet colour.

As she walked away, we quickly turned to Caleb in disbelieve. "What was that?" Gaten spat with a disgusted look on his face. Caleb quickly turned his way and squinted his eyes.

"I flirted with her," he started. "Look it up."

We all turned away as we bursted into laughter- except Gaten of course. He looked exactly like the young waitress did before she walked away.

I looked outside as we continued to laugh, only to have something catch my eye. There Sadie and Finn were, holding hands as they made their way down the side walk.

I could see Sadie laughing- most likely at something Finn had said- making the pit in my stomach expand. I watched as he pulled her close, hugging her from the side.

He used to do that to me all the time.

"Here are your milkshakes!" The smiley waitress said as she approached the table. I snapped out of my gaze and politely thanked the waitress as she handed me my shake.

As I took a sip, I looked back outside to see if they were still three. Luckily they were not.

ahhh this chapter was so hard for me to write and that really pisses me off!!

the next few chapter have already been written so i'll probably post on tuesday ☆

i sadly don't think i'll be posting next saturday since ima be camping !1!1!1!!
