Chapter sixteen- thinking gives headaches

After handing out all the invites, Maddie, Gaten and I all decided to head over to Maddie's place to help set up.

"Okay, how many cans of beer should I buy?" Maddie asked with uncertainty. It sounded strange hear that sentence come from Maddie's mouth since she used to be the one telling people this. I mean, she was once the schools 'it girl' for parties.

I watched closely as Gaten put his finger to his chin then tilted his head. He stayed like that for a good ten seconds before shifting his gaze back to Maddie.

"Well, the freshman will probably have half a can, sophomores will have one, juniors might have two and," he paused for a moment before chuckling. "I'm a senior and I'll be drinking until I am drunk."

I laughed along with the last part as Maddie only nodded her head. "Lets say you go for two kegs or something."

Maddie shot Gaten a thankful smile before picking up her wallet. We watched as she walked over to the nearest table and poured everything out of it, in search of her fake ID.

"I can't find my ID, damn it!" Maddie mumbled as she threw her hand to her head. I could tell that she was stressing, worrying me that she wouldn't be able to go along with our plan.

"Hey it's okay, I will just call Caleb up and he can pick up the kegs- he knows a guy." Gaten said as he tried to reassure Maddie. I placed my hand on Maddie's shoulder as I gave her a smile.

"Well in the mean time I suggest you two go get ready since you guys always take so long." Maddie and I turned around in sync, facing Gaten with surprised faces.

"What?"

"How about this?" Maddie asked as she turned around. She wore a white fitted crop top that stoped just above her belly button. Her jet black heels matched her dark pants perfectly. I let her borrow my light pink bomber which completed her outfit.

"Perfect!" I clapped happily. Maddie thanked me with a smile as she sat back down and started her makeup. I walked over to mirror and started pulling on my slightly curled hair.

Tonight is the night that we expose Sadie. Tonight is the night that everything either goes my way, or everything goes to shit.

I pray for the first way.

My mind starts drifting as I start to think about Finn. Will he want me back? Does he really still love me? Will he still love Sadie?

Geez, all this thinking is giving me a headache!

I quickly ran my hand threw my hair before I quickly got up and made myway over to Maddie's bed where my sweater laid. I went threw all the pockets until I found what I was looking for; my strawberry lipstick.

I started to open it as I made my way back to Maddie's full length mirror and sat cross legged in front.

I confidently started smearing it over my light pink lips, not caring about who knows that it came from Finn. I'm all to happy to even let the though of  how stupid I must seem for wearing it pass my mind.

"Wait Millie, isn't that the lipstick Finn have you?" I hear from behind.

shit.

Okay, maybe I do care about who knows.

I turn as I force a smile on my face and lock eyes with Maddie. "It might be, yes."

She furrows her eyebrows but before she could ask me anything, her bedroom door is being pushed open, revealing a petit girl.

"Row!" I smile as I push myself off the floor. I joyfully make my way over to her. She flashed me a smile before grabbing onto my hand and following me over to Maddie's bed.

"Okay, what time does the party start at again?" she asked as she tilted her head.

"Nine."

"Good we have at least a good twenty minutes for me to find an outfit. I assumed that it would be better it I just borrowed an outfit rather then trying to match one." she softly giggled at the end as she looked down to her shoes. Maddie gave her a smile before walking over to her closet and grabbing a few articles of clothing.

As she turned around, she held up a black button up skirt, paired with a black and off white striped shirt. We could both see the excitement present in Rowan's eyes as she ran over to Maddie to grab it.

"thanks!" she quickly ran into the bathroom that was located about five steps down Maddie's hall.

Once she came back, her smile had widened. The outfit fit her perfectly , causing us all to smile.

Before leaving the room, Rowan quickly opened the backpack she had brought with her and pulled out a pair of heels. They matched the outfit perfectly.

We make our way out of Maddie's room, making all the conversations from down stairs easy to hear.

"Could you guys hurry up! The party is going to start in like, twenty minutes and you guys won't even be ready!" A voice yelled. I assumed the voice came from Caleb since it was deep. I rolled my eyes as we made our way down the stairs and into the living room.

"I told them that they take forever." Gaten's  sighed as he patted Caleb's back. A scoff left Rowen's mouth as she stomped over to Gaten.

"We heard that you know!" Her arms we crossed and her heels gave her the ability to tower over Gaten. He quickly surrounded as if her were scared of what would happen if he said anymore.

"And hold your horses okay? It's not like anyone is actually going to show up at nine, they'll most likely arrive for nine thirty." Maddie laughed before she started walking over to her kitchen. I followed her in hope of being able to help.

"Here, put all the these chips into the bowls then lay them out on the island." She quickly shoved me five bags of different kinds of doritos then pointed to her island before leaving.

"Okay."

happy new years !! my wattpad has been glitching for some reason and i don't know why 🙄

also i was rereading a few chapters from heartbreaker and i just realized that i can't spell like the grammar is horrible.
