chapter eighteen- unfinished business
M I L L I E

"sadie what the hell," finn whispered harshly as she grabbed onto the red's arm. she pulled herself away from romeo's grasp, eyes flickering between both me and finn.

her eyes widened slightly as her hands made their way up to her hair, flattening it. it was almost like she was trying to cover up what had just happened, even though she had been caught.

i couldn't mask the small smirk that made its way to my face as i watched her try and blubber out an excuse good enough for finn to buy.

although i hated how finn was feeling, it sure did feel good watching him finally see the type of person she was.

a no good liar who only looks out for herself.

"finnie, i can't explain," she grabbed onto his shoulder as she took a step closer to him. "it was romeo, he just—"

"save it sadie," he took a step back, letting her arm fall to her side. by this point the music had died down and all eyes were on the pair that stood in the middle of the room.

"i'm down with this so you can just go back to him, i don't care." with that finn raised his hands in the air, backing up twisted the door. he let out a stressed chuckle under his breath as he turned, bringing a hand through his many curls.

sadie's face dropped instantly, showing just how surprised she was.

if she was going to cheat on him at a party that he was clearly attending, why was she so surprised when she got caught?

her once surprised expression quickly turned to a angered one as her blue eyes locked with mine.

"you!" she brought a finger to my chest. "this is all you! you're just pissed off that he left you for me!"

a small laugh left my lips as licked them.

i was no longer scared or threatened by my once best friend.

"no sadie," i crossed my arms over my chest. "you did this to yourself"

she let out a sarcastic laugh, mirroring my actions.

"you lost finn because of what you did. i dropped the "heartbreaker" act long ago, unlike you."

i watched as she tried to wrap her mind around my words, clearly stunned that i had something to say.

i was over being scared of her and letting her control me. she may have ruined my imagine taken my boy, but i wasn't going to let her pin her obvious mistake on me.

she was the one who screwed up things between her and finn, not me.

"he was the best thing to happen to the both of us, and you not only took that away from me, but also yourself." i took a step forward, making the shorter girl backtrack in her steps.

"don't pin this on me, i'm down with with you."

with that i turned quickly, leaving a stunned red head in the middle of maddie's living room. a smile found its way to my lips, proud of myself.
