Chapter thirteen- so much for not wanting to talk to him
M I L L I E

I marched with Noah by my side into my bedroom as I slammed my door shut.

"Millie it's going to be okay," he sighed as he sat down on my bed. I could see him roll his eyes as I kept pacing around my room.

What was I going to do? I'm suspended from school for the rest of the week- thankfully that's only three days- and I have the rest of the month in detention. thankfully there's one week left of November until it's December.

breaking my thoughts, I heard a knock on my front door causing me to stop. I looked over to Noah who was looking out my bedroom door. He turned his gaze back to me before shrugging.

I tilted my head, signalizing for Noah to follow me. We quickly ran down my stairs, careful not to trip on the uneven carpet.

As we got to my front door, I looked threw the tiny peep whole and started to panic.

"Noah!" I whispered worriedly as I ran into my living room. His head shot up as he ran off my couch. I could see the concern in his eyes as he placed a hand on my shoulder.

"Romeo is here and I can not talk to him at the moment!" He furrowed his eyebrows but before any of us could say anymore, we heard the door bell go off for a second time.

"Millie! I need to talk to you!"

"Please answer the door Noah!" I pleaded. He rolled his eyes before nodding his head. As he did, I gave him a hug before running up my stairs.

I sat at in the middle of my staircase, keeping me out of sight. It also gave me a perfect view of the what was going to happen.

"Hello Romeo." Noah said as he opened the door. I could see Romeo make a stupid face, obviously confused as to why Noah answered.

"Is Millie home?" He clearly asked with no interest.

"Yes but-"

Before Noah could finish, Romeo pushed past him and headed into my living room. I quickly got up and headed to the top of my staircase, knowing that he would be able to see me if I stayed where I was.

"Uh, excuse me," Noah said as he followed closely behind Romeo. "You can't come in at the moment."

"Why? I need to talk with Millie." He urged.

"She's asleep." Noah quickly spat. "She was so tired after everything that happened today so she decided to sleep."

I really need to teach him how to lie better.

I saw Romeo shake his head at Noah's awful excuse. He slowly turned towards the stairs, scaring me. I quickly got up as quietly as I could and made my way over to my bedroom. I slightly closed the door as I entered my room, hoping to stall time.

I could heard someone coming up the stairs, encouraging me to go faster. I jumped into my bed and under my covers, trying to make it look like I was sleeping. I tried messing up my hair a little bit, but failed when I realized I had no time.

"Stop stop stop-" I heard Noah yell before my door opened. I had one of my eyes slightly open, giving me a perfect view of both Romeo and Noah.

"You need to leave, right now." Noah said. I could hear the frustration in his voice, making him sound more confident.

"But I need-"

"Leave Romeo!" I shouted as I sat up. I could see that I startled both of them but I didn't care. I was tired of all the bickering.

I got up before putting on of my hands on Romeo's back. I quickly led him out of my room and house, hoping that he would just piss off.

"Millie I need to talk to you, now." I rolled my eyes at his comment as we approached my front door.

"Well you see Romeo, I also need to talk to you." I clapped my hands together before glancing at my feet the back to him.

"As you know, I kissed Finn, got into a fight about kissing Finn, and pretty much got suspended for kissing Finn." As I said it all out loud, I thought about how stupid it all sounded.

I watched as the emotions in his face changed numerous times. For some reason, I started to think that he did not know about what had happened.

"Well you see, I don't think this relationship is going to work." I placed a hand on his shoulder as I started to him grow more sad then mad.

"We should break up. It's not me it's you." I said the last part with as much emotion as I could, making me sound truly sorry. I could tell that he was buying it as he took both my hands into his.

"But millie-" before he could finish, I cut him off as I made a tear escape my eye.

"No." I pushed him out of my house the slammed my door. I turned around with my eyes shut as took a deep breath, smiling at the fact that he was gone.

When I reopened my eyes, I saw Noah standing there stunned.

"And that is how it's done." I softly laughed as I walked over to him. He gave me a hug as he laughed making my smile grow.

"So much for not wanting to talk to him." He said softly.

"So much for not wanting to talk to him." I repeated.
