Dreydence

Chapter 14. Home

Hunter and Jack started running for the main entrance and Tank and Kane caught up with them. 

"What happened?!" Jack asked looking at Kane.

"Weight sensors." Kane replied. They kept running and reached the main entrance where they saw 4 convoy trucks with 10 men each getting out.

"Alright. We're gonna have to fight our way out." Hunter said, and chambered his M4 and hid behind the wall. Jack, Tank and Kane followed Hunter's lead, and Hunter looked at a few of the guys and started to shoot them. He kept shooting and took out 8 of them before he saw a glint from a building. He froze and looked at it, remembering what happened last time. 

"Hunter!" Jack yelled and grabbed him and pulled him behind the wall. Hunter shook his head and he looked at the building where the glint came from, and aimed his gun at it.

"What are you doing?! Lower the gun!" Jack asked and put his hand on Hunter's gun.

"There's a sniper on the roof!" Hunter replied.

"Yeah Ghost!" Jack said and Hunter looked again and he could see Ghost behind the glint. Ghost shot three of the guys and Hunter pulled a grenade off his belt and threw it at a group of guys and got back behind the wall as Tank pulled up to the entrance, driving a convoy truck.

"Get in!" Tank yelled and they got in, except for Ghost.

"What about Ghost?" Hunter asked.

"Ghost has his own way." Jack replied and Tank started driving away. Hunter looked out the back and saw the facility exploding. He kept watching it and thought about Jinx. Any day could be his last.
                                          An hour later
They arrived back at the base and Loki motioned for Hunter to follow, so he did. Loki brought him to the living quarters and showed him to a room.
"You can stay in this room while you're here." Loki said and Hunter looked at him. 

"I thought I was here for only one mission?" Hunter asked in response, and Loki smiled. He flicked his hand and Hunter flew to the wall and was pinned against it, and Loki closed the door. 

"You see, you were only supposed to be here for one mission, but you're to good to pass up," he said, standing in front of Hunter and smiled.

"In, both ways." Loki said and his fangs emerged and he put them to Hunter's neck, but someone knocked on the door and Loki stopped, turned, and released Hunter.

"Loki I need to talk to you!" Kane called from the other side of the door, and Hunter stood in place, glaring at Loki. Loki left the room and closed the door behind himself as he walked out, and Hunter lightly rubbed his throat.

"Freakin vampires," he said and found some clothes in the dresser. Hunter grabbed them and went to the bathroom, closed the door and took his clothes off. He then got in the shower, and stood under the water.

"Your friends are going to miss you," a familiar snake like voice said.

"Spectre, shut up." Hunter said, closing his eyes.

"You know plenty of things can happen to Dreydence while you're gone. You know, people can go crazy, kill each other. Women could, get, used." Spectre said and slightly smirked, and Hunter opened his eyes and grabbed Spectre by the throat, causing him to gasp for air.

"I am the shadow user, you will obey me and me only, and no one else. You even touch, the people of Dreydence, and I will end you." Hunter said, with a deep growl and Spectre clawed at Hunter's hand, and Hunter let go.

"Fine. Have it your way." Spectre replied and disappeared, and Hunter sighed quietly. Hunter washed himself and got out of the shower and put the clothes he grabbed on. His outfit was a gray tank top, and green cargo pants. He sighed and someone knocked at the door, and Hunter looked at the door for a couple seconds.

"Who is it?" he asked.

"It's me, Jack." Jack said from the other side of the door. Hunter walked over and opened the door and Jack was smiling.

"Pack a bag. We're gonna go back to Dreydence for a couple days." Jack said, and Hunter slightly smiled.

"Really?" he asked, and Jack nodded.

"Yeah. I miss Eli and Dom. And Dreydence." Jack replied, and Hunter started to pack some clothes. Jack waited outside as Hunter packed, and when he finished, Hunter went over to Jack and stood next to him.

"Alright, I'm ready to go," he said and Jack smiled and started walking to the garage.

----------- A day later -----------

Jack made his vehicle come to a stop as they reached the gates of Dreydence. The gates opened and Jack drove his Maserati Granturismo into Dreydence a few feet, and then stopped and allowed Hunter to get out. 

"I'm gonna go find my old house. I'll be at the park if you need me." Jack said and Hunter nodded and closed the door, and Jack drove off.

"Hunter?" he heard a female voice call, and he saw Jinx off to his left and he looked at her and smiled.

"Yes, it's me," he replied and she ran over to him and hugged him tightly.

"Oh thank God you're safe!" Jinx said and Hunter hugged back and chuckled quietly.

"Of course I am, why wouldn't I be?" he asked and Jinx looked at him, tears forming in her eyes.

"W-when those people came and said you needed to be taken some where to be safe, I got so scared," he replied and Hunter wiped the tears away and kissed her cheek.

"No need to worry, beautiful. I'll always be safe," he replied and she smiled and put her face in his chest. Hunter rubbed his cheek on her head and Jinx slightly smiled up at him.

"Can we cuddle for a little bit? Please?" she asked and Hunter chuckled and nodded.

"Yeah. Let's go to my house. And then after we can go on that date that we missed, eh?" he asks and Jinx nodded, and Hunter picker her up bridal style, and Jinx blushed lightly as Hunter started walking to his house. When Hunter got to his house and was inside, he closed the door behind him and gently sat Jinx on the couch, and sat next to her, turning the TV on. The movie that was on was a movie called The Blair Witch Project. Halfway through the movie, Jinx was sitting in Hunter's lap with her arms around his neck, and slightly shaking.

"Scared? I can turn it off if you want." Hunter says and Jinx shook her head.

"N-no it's okay. I have you to keep me safe," she said and Hunter smiled and pulled her as close as can be, and kissed her cheek. She smiled and looked at him and kissed him, and Hunter kissed back. After a few seconds Jinx pulled away and opened her eyes, and smiled at him. They continued to watch the movie and when the movie was over, Hunter looked at her.

"So, how do you feel about going on that date now?" he asked, and she smiled and nodded.

"I'd feel great if we went on that date," she replied, and Hunter smiled.

"That rhymed," he said and stood up, and brought her to the bedroom, and set her down.

"Once we're dressed wanna go to the restaurant by the pier?" Hunter asked. Jinx looked through the wardrobe, trying to find something to wear.

"Sure. It'd be nice to sit by the water and eat," she said and smiled as she grabbed a high low halter dress, and set it aside. Hunter had looked in his wardrobe and found a white button up shirt and a black vest, and black dress pants. Hunter took his current clothes off and put on the white shirt, vest, and pants, and looked in the mirror. Jinx hugged him from behind, wearing the dress she had found.

"You look handsome~" she said and Hunter smiled.

"You look beautiful~" he replied, facing her and Jinx fixed the collar of his shirt and smiled. Hunter kissed her cheek and then grabbed a pair of dress shoes and put them on, while Jinx put on a pair of red heels. Hunter stood up and Jinx smiled at him and gently grabbed his hand.

"Let's go to the pier," she said, and Hunter nodded and went outside with Jinx, making sure to grab his wallet, and headed to the pier.
