Chapter 15. Date Night

Hunter kept smiling as he and Jinx walked towards the pier. After a few minutes they got to the diner and they walked in to see Eli and Sophie there too. Eli was wearing a long blue dress with her hair in a french bun, and matching heels. Sophie was wearing a black dress and matching heels, and her hair was wavy.

"Sophie, Eli! Surprising to see you here." Hunter said, and they turned, looking at him and blushing lightly.

"Oh, hey Hunter." Sophie said smiling. "We're here on a date," she added.

"Ah with who? Jasper~? Luke~?" Hunter asked teasingly and Jinx looked at him and giggled quietly, and looked at Sophie. 

"He's kind of oblivious isn't he?" Jinx asked and Sophie nodded. Hunter looked at Jinx, with a confused look on his face.

"What'd I miss?" he asked.

"They're on a date. Together." Jinx replied and Hunter's eyes widened slightly and he looked at Eli, who was blushing, and then he looked at Sophie, who was also blushing.

"Um... W... Can I get a table for two please?" Hunter asked, looking at the girl at the podium and she nodded and smiled. Jinx, Eli, and Sophie giggled and Hunter and Jinx followed the waitress to a table, and then sat down. Hunter grabbed the menu and looked at it, and Jinx smiled at him and rested her head on her hand.

"You know, you're gonna have to talk to them about it, right?" she said, and Hunter looked at her.

"Yeah, but not right now. This moment is about you, and me," he replied, smiling and looking at the menu again. Jinx kept smiling and picked up her menu and looked at it. A few minutes later a girl with long black hair walked over and was wearing a waitress outfit.

"Sorry about the wait. What can I get for you today?" the girl asked and both Hunter and Jinx put their menus down and smiled at her.

"Oh it's okay. I know how the waitress business can be." Jinx said, and the waitress smiled. "Um, but I would like to have the salmon and a martini please," she added, and the waitress wrote on a notepad and looked at Hunter.

"I'll have the uh steak and potatoes please," he said, and the waitress wrote on the notepad and looked at them.

"That'll be right out," she said and walked off, and Hunter looked to his right to see Eli and Sophie sitting at the table next to them. Eli and Sophie looked over and waved at them, and Hunter and Jinx waved back and then looked at each other.

"Think they've done it yet?" Jinx asked and Hunter's eyes widened a little.

"Jinx!" he whispered quietly. "Why would you ask me that?" he whispers and she giggled.

"Because I wanted to get a reaction and I got a good one," she said and he chuckled and smiled.

"Yeah. Something I don't wanna imagine," he said and they both chuckled again. After a few minutes the waitress came out with their food, and she placed it on the table, smiled at them, and then walked away. Hunter and Jinx began eating, listening to the soft music play in the background. After they were done, the waitress brought the check over and Hunter gave them the money, and then Jinx and Hunter started heading home.

"Wait up you two!" Eli called, and Sophie and Eli caught up with them. 

"Oh boy."  Hunter said and the three girls smiled.

"So, how did your date go?" Eli asked, looking at Hunter and Jinx.

"It was nice~" Jinx replied, wrapping her arm around Hunter's and kissing his cheek.

"Ah. That's good. Hunter, I hope it's okay that me and your sister have a thing." Sophie said and he smiled and looked at her. 

"Who Eli dates isn't any of my business. I just ask that you treat her right," he replied, and Sophie grinned and looked at Eli.

"Oh I'll treat her right~" she said and Eli blushed and hid her face, and Hunter laughed.

"Well, anyway, Jinx and I are gonna head home," he said and waved to Eli and Sophie, and headed to his house. After a few minutes, Jinx and Hunter got to his front door, and they walked in and Jinx took her heels off and grabbed Hunter and pulled him close.

"How long are you home for?" she asked, and Hunter smirked.

"A couple days. Jack wanted a reunion with Eli and Dom," he replied, and Jinx grinned.

"Ah so this is about Jack, Eli and Dom huh~?" she asked and Hunter chuckled and kissed her neck, and she gasped quietly and kept grinning.

"Yes, it is~" he said and Jinx pulled him into a kiss and Hunter kissed back. After a few seconds Jinx pulled away and smiled at Hunter, and he smiled back.

"Good. I want you all to myself before you have to leave again." Jinx said, and Hunter nodded. "Though, I am gonna go shower," she added and Hunter smiled and she let go of him, and headed to the bathroom. Hunter went to the bedroom and changed into a black t-shirt and shorts, and then walked out onto his balcony. He sat in a chair and stared at the moon that had risen and was shining brightly in the sky, some stars behind it. He sighed quietly and after a few minutes, Jinx joined him wearing a black tank top and short shorts, and she sat on his lap and cuddled him.

"Do you know when you'll be back?" she asked quietly and he wrapped his arms around her.

"No, I don't. Loki thinks that I make a great addition to the team, so it could be a while before I come back," he replied and Jinx closed her eyes and nuzzled his neck lightly.

"I want you to be safe and come back to me okay?" she asked and Hunter nodded, and kissed her forehead. Jinx looked up at him and smiled.

"How about we have some, fun before you leave?" she asked and Hunter chuckled and kissed her.
