2 years later
"Alright people listen up!" Kane said and everyone looked at him. Hunter and Jack had returned to the base and were loaded up in a couple trucks for their last mission.
"This mission is critical stealth. We are infiltrating a high tech base known as Tracer Kiltov. The Russians have been spying on us and have a mole within our military. We're here to stop them. Hoorah?" Kane said.
"Hoorah!" the squad said back to him, and Kane got sat back down and the trucks began moving.
"Hunter, you excited to go home?" Ghost asked and Hunter looked at him.
"Yeah I am. But I'm going to focus on getting this mission done right," he said.
Ghost nodded and looked outside at the passing flora and fauna. If nothing but desert and cactus is flora and fauna. After a while they arrived at the post they were setting up at, and the trucks stopped and they all got out.
"Alright people. Get the Russian outfits on now. They're expecting a patrol back in 20 minutes." Kane said and Hunter, Ghost, Jack and Kane all put on Russian military outfits, and started heading to the Kiltov base.
"Alright, let me do the talking." Kane said and the other three nodded as they arrived at the door. A man wearing the same outfit opened the door and spoke Russian to Kane, and Kane spoke back in Russian. The man then stood aside and Kane began walking again, and Hunter, Jack and Ghost followed him. They walked through hallways with Russians watching them, and whisper quietly. After a few minutes they reached a server room and looked around for people, and didn't see anyone.
"Alright, first shut off the network. Ghost, get to the power room and shut off the power. That's critical to this mission." Kane said and set his bag down and zipped it open and grabbed a small device and hooked it to the servers. Ghost then grabbed the bag and left the room, and Jack and Hunter started hooking more devices to the servers.
"So what exactly are these devices gonna do?" Hunter asked, looking at Kane.
"They're gonna shut down the network and download all the data to our servers. After that, Ghost is gonna shut off the power and we're gonna get out of here," he replied, and Hunter nodded. Kane looked around and pressed a couple buttons on his wrist device and the devices on the server boxes beeped a couple times, and then blinked red.
"Alright, servers are downloaded. Ghost are you there?" Kane asked, putting a finger to his earpiece.
"Yep. All hooked up, ready to shut them down." Ghost replied over the earpiece.
"Alright, get back here and we'll take care of it." Kane said, and looked at Hunter. "I want you to check outside and see if anyone is coming," he said and Hunter nodded and went outside and looked around. He then went back inside and looked at Kane.
"No one is out there," he said, and Kane nodded. Ghost then walked in and nodded his head. Kane smirked and pressed a button on his wristpad, and the facility went dark.
"Alright everyone let's go, before they find us." Kane said and began to leave the server room, and put on night vision goggles. They began walking through the corridors with their weapons drawn, and saw a few flashlight beams headed their way.
"Get ready to take them out fast." Kane said, and as the beams turned the corner, Hunter and Jack picked off the enemies holding them, and the enemies fell to the ground.
"Any chatter on the comms Ghost?" Jack asked.
"Plenty. They're saying there is possibility's of intruders." Ghost replied.
"Damnit. They've found us. We need to leave now." Kane said and the four sped up. Soon they had reached the front door, and the Russians were scrambling everywhere. Kane talked to a few in Russian, and the two guarding the door opened it, and Kane, Jack, Hunter and Ghost headed out and back to their outpost.
"What did you say to them?" Hunter asked.
"I told them we had a possible location on an enemy encampment." Kane replied, and Hunter chuckled. A few minutes later they got back to the outpost, and it looked abandoned.
"Chavez? Chimera?" Kane called out, but no one replied.
"They must've taken off already." Jack said, and Kane slowly nodded as Loki came out of the forest with three people behind them.
"Yeah they did. I sent them back," he said, and they all looked at him.
"Loki? I thought you were staying at base?" Hunter asked.
"Nah. I figured I have to get out once in a while, stretch my legs," he replied.
"Well where do we go from here?" Ghost asked, and Loki smiled.
"Well, I was thinking six feet deep," he said and then a group of Russians came out of the forest, aiming at Hunter, Kane, Jack and Ghost. The four aimed their weapons at Loki.
"What is this Loki? What's going on?" Kane asked, and Loki chuckled.
"Well you see, I've been partnered with the Russians for a while. What you really did here? Just wiping evidence for us. You're now accessories to obstructing justice, and we can't have that now can we?" he said, and Hunter growled quietly.
"I knew I shouldn't have trusted you." Hunter said and Loki laughed.
"You're right. Take their weapons," he said and four Russians moved forward and took their weapons from them, and Loki kept smiling.
"Now, get on your knees," he said, and they did, looking at him. All of a sudden, a couple gunshots rang out, and Kane and Ghost fell to the ground. Hunter's eyes widened and he looked at them.
"Damn you Loki!" Hunter yelled at him, and Loki pulled out an M9 Beretta and aimed at Jack.
"Say goodbye, Hunter," he said.
"No!" Hunter yelled and jumped in front of Jack, and the bullet hit him in the stomach, and Jack kicked one of the Russians, took his weapon, and opened fire on the two guys behind Loki. Loki ran back into the forest and Jack quickly took care of the rest of the Russians, and then dropped his gun and kneeled next to Hunter. Hunter coughed up some blood and looked at Jack.
"J-Jack," he said and Jack grabbed his bag and rummaged through it, looking for a med-kit.
"Don't talk. Save your energy, and put pressure on the wound," he said and Hunter moved his shaky hands to his wound, and put pressure on it, groaning quietly.
"I-it hurts, so much." Hunter replied and Jack pulled out the med-kit, and opened it. It had gauze, tape, tweezers, essentially everything Jack needed to save him.
"I know. I need to take your gear off okay?" he said and Hunter nodded, and Jack took off his vest and then lifted his shirt slightly, and began to work. A few minutes later he got the bullet out and he looked at Hunter, who had passed out.
"Stay with me Hunter. Just a couple stitches and you'll be as good as new," he said, tapping Hunter's face and he moved slightly. Jack grabbed the needle and began stitching him up, and once he was done he closed up the med-kit, put it back in his bag, and put his bag around his shoulder. He looked at Ghost and Kane, and sighed quietly and then put one of Hunter's arms around his shoulder, and picked him up. Jack began walking away from the outpost, and grabbed his and Hunter's weapons as he was walking. After a few hours of walking through the forest, it started to get dark out and Jack looked around and found a hollowed out tree that looked big enough to fit two people.
He walked over at sat Hunter down inside, and Hunter groaned quietly and moved his head slightly, but stayed asleep. Jack got in and sat next to him, and it began to rain. He chuckled quietly and then looked at his wrist, and tapped it a couple times and his device turned on. He stared at his device as it got his location, and showed him how far it would be once he put in the ending destination, Dreydence.
"1,189 miles. From here to Colorado. Hope you're ready for an adventure brother." Jack said quietly as he turned his device off, leaned his head back, and closed his eyes.
