Chapter 12. New Enemies

Hunter's eyes fluttered open and he rubbed them, and then looked over at Jinx who was awake and smiling at him, slowly stroking his hair also. Hunter smiled and then blushed as he recalled the events of last night, and Jinx giggled quietly.
"Don't worry. It was amazing," she whispered in his ear and Hunter kept smiling and pulled her into a kiss. A few seconds later he slowly pulled away from the kiss, and opened his eyes and looked at her.
"That's good. How about we go on a date? We haven't for a while." Hunter said, propping himself up on his elbow and smiling at her.
"That would be, really fun. We could try that restaurant by the pier that you wanted to go to. What's it called again?" Jinx asked as she sat on the edge of the bed, stretched, and then stood up and looked in the wardrobe for something to wear.
"It's called Le Dîner Express." Hunter replied, watching her.
"Well, it sounds like a really fun place to go." Jinx said, smiling at him and Hunter smiled back, and then got up and got dressed in a white button up shirt, black dress pants and a black button up vest.
"I'm gonna wear this for now until we actually go to the restaurant okay?" Jinx said, showing him a black v-neck t-shirt with a smiley face on it, and blue skinny jeans.
"That's fine with me," he replied, kissing her cheek and heading out to the kitchen. Jinx put her clothes on and followed him out into the kitchen and could see that he was preparing to make something to eat. She walked up to him and wrapped her arms around his waist and Hunter smiled and let out a satisfied sigh as she gently kissed his neck and giggled.
"That was really nice to hear~" she said and Hunter blushed lightly and smiled.
"Well if you keep doing that I'm gonna burn the food cause I won't be able to focus," he replied and Jinx giggled again and sat down.
"Maybe I want that," she said shrugging and Hunter chuckled and finished cooking the food. He put the food on a plate for Jinx and handed it to her.
"Eggs, pancakes and bacon," he said, smiling and fixing a plate for himself, and sitting down next to Jinx after turning the stove off. Jinx and Hunter began to eat, and Jinx would occasionally steal a glance at Hunter and he didn't notice, as he was busy looking out the window.
"You know you're handsome when you get lost in your thoughts," she said, and he looked at her, grinned and leaned into her ear.
"Oh don't worry, I'm just reliving last night and hoping to do it again," he whispered, causing her face to go red, but she smiled.
"W-wow you must've really liked it then, I take it?" she asked, and Luke walked in. Hunter didn't notice but Jinx did, waving at him.
"I mean you must've too. I mean the way you whimpered so nee-" Aw dude come on!" Hunter started to say but was interrupted by Luke. Hunter looked up and smiled at him, and Jinx blushed even more and hid her face.
"Bad time to come in man." Hunter said and Luke facepalmed.
"I really didn't want that image." Luke said and Hunter chuckled.
"Well, sorry," he said and Luke shook his head.
"I just came here to tell you that Dom wanted to know if you had anything planned." Luke said.
"Uh, just hanging with Jinx today and going on a date with her." Hunter replied and wrapped an arm around Jinx.
"Okay." Luke said and left, and Jinx looked at Hunter.
"You embarrassed me so much!" she said and Hunter smiled.
"To be honest I didn't notice he walked in," he said and Jinx pouted quietly.
"Well you're gonna have to make it up to me," she said, finishing her food and putting her plate in the sink, while Hunter put his food in the microwave and walked over to her.
"Oh really? How do you expect me to do that?" he asked, and Jinx shrugged.
"Figure it out," she said and Hunter sat her on the edge of the counter, and she gasped quietly and looked at him. He smiled and kissed her neck and she tilted her head back, and closed her eyes. Hunter kept gently kissing her neck and lightly nipped at it, causing her to let out a low moan.
"O-okay, y-you've made up for it," she said, blushing and looking at him. Hunter smiled again and gave her a quick kiss.
"I knew you couldn't stay mad at me," he said and Jinx smiled.
"Whatever. And you know my neck is a weak spot," she said and Hunter grinned.
"That's the point," he said and she got off the counter, and hugged him.
"Let's go walking for a bit," she said.
"Alright. That doesn't seem like a bad idea." Hunter said and Jinx went to the living room and started putting her shoes on. As Hunter walked into the living room, he froze at what he saw. He saw Jinx, being held up by Spectre and being stabbed.
"Accept us!" Spectre said and walked up to him and Hunter just stood there, frozen.
"Fine. Your head is mine for a little bit." Spectre said, grinning and laughing.
"Hunter?" Jinx asked, standing in front of him as he held his head and groaned in pain. Then, two men in armoured suits came in and Jinx gasped and jumped back.
"Ma'am, we need him to come with us," one of them said.
"Why? What's going on?" Jinx asked, and they picked up Hunter and headed outside.
"We'll explain later," the same man said.
"Where are you taking him?" Jinx asked, following them.
"Somewhere safe, trust me," the man said, and he disappeared along with Hunter and the other man.
                                          A day later
Hunter opened his eyes slowly, and looked around to see he was in a cell. He got up and walked over to the door.
"Hello?" he called out.
"Ah, he's awake," a voice said, and a man with black hair to his shoulders and green eyes stood in front of Hunter. He also had a slim face and body complexion.
"Who are you?" Hunter asked. The man smiled and brought his hand up to Hunter's cheek and lightly caressed it, and Hunter gave him a weird look.
"My name is Loki Veres. I'm a vampire lord, and you look delicious. But, I need your help." Loki said. Hunter pulled away from him and slightly backed up.
"Why would you need my help?" he asked.
"Because you have military expertise. Basic and advanced, and also hacking. Your father taught you when you were little." Loki replied. Hunter growled quietly and hit the door lightly.
"Let me out right now," he said and Loki laughed.
"Unless you want your friends and lover to die, you're gonna work for me." Loki replied, laughing and leaving the room.
