Sunday came around pretty quickly. I spent most of my night talking to Beth about my Mother and what she said about Gray. Beth told me to ignore her as usual, she knew how happy Grayson was making me.
"So how're you and Gray?" She asked teasingly.
"Beth, there is no me and Gray. We're just friends"
"Just friends? Kyla, you've had a crush on this guy for years and it's pretty obvious he likes you too!"
I felt my face heat up, I couldn't help myself.
"I don't think so. Gray would tell me if he did".
"You sleep on call every night. You two spend nearly all day together!"
"We're just friends" I reassured her.
"If you say so" she didn't sound convinced.
I left the call with Beth to finish getting ready for my flight. Currently it was 4PM and my excitement was sky high. I loved travelling and I'd never been to LA before!
'Grayson would like to FaceTime'
I swear my heart did backflips everytime I saw those words. I never got used to seeing them.
I was greeted by a smiling, yet kind of sleepy Grayson.
"Hey Gray, why're you up so early?'
"I woke up early to call you before your flight"
"That's sweet."
"I try" he replied sarcastically. "Are you ready?"
"Yeah, I'm pretty much ready to go now. So I guess I'll see you in 18 hours"
"I'm honestly so excited to see you"
"I'm excited too, Gray."
Ethan interupted. "I'm excited to see you, Kyla!"
I laughed "Me too E"
"Ethan get out, for god sake" Gray shouted while throwing a pillow.
They made me so happy, even if they're both slightly annoying.
Grayson turned his attention back to me, sighed and smiled.
"I'll see you soon."
After my Dad had drove me to the airport and said goodbye, I went through security and found my boarding platform. Staring at my tickets only made me more nervous and anxious to get there.
"Flight to LA now boarding"
The flight was long and the time zones only made it feel longer and confused me. If I really thought about it though, I was travelling through time which seemed kind of cool. Grayson was kind enough to buy me first class tickets so while the flight was long, I was comfortable. Free food and I had downloaded Game of Thrones episodes to catch up on.
I landed on Monday, 6:30PM. I turned my phone back on and texted Grayson.
'Well that was fun 😂'
'WAIT WHAT? You're here?'
'I'm here 💗'
