Kyla's POV
"Here" Ethan said walking into the room.
"What?"
"Lucky Charms" he smiled back to me whilst giving me the bowl. Leaning down, he kissed my forehead and sat in bed next to me.
"Thank you, sweet."
"So the plan for today. I was thinking we could do some shopping, maybe hire a boat for a while and have a picnic or something. We could go for a swim in the ocean too?"Honestly, I'll admit that I was only half listening. I ended up just admiring how perfect he looked with his messy hair, no shirt and sweatpants on. I could tell by his droopy eyes that he was still sleepy.
"Sounds like a plan" I agreed anyway. Looking deeply into his beautiful, brown eyes, he smiled at me before reaching over and tucking a strand of hair behind my ear. A warm feeling flushed over my cheeks, it was crazy to me how he could still make me feel this way after everything.
"What?" I shyly questioned him. He shook his head, continuing to look into my eyes.
"You're too perfect". I looked down at my lap in an attempt to hide my flushed cheeks.
"Ethan".
"You are" he cut me off. His hand cupped my face, pulling me towards him gently. Our lips met in between, something I knew I'd never get used to.As I reached the top of the stairs, I braced myself to see Gray and Beth downstairs. Taking a deep breath, I started down the stairs.
"Morning" Grayson said whilst looking over his shoulder to me from the sofa.
"Morning, Gray."
"Hi" Beth tried joining in the conversation. I nodded at her with a smile, granted it was the fakest smile I've ever come up with but it'd do. Ethan appeared in front of me as he left the kitchen to kiss my forehead.
"You ready?" I nodded in reply to his question.
"Ready for what?" Grayson interrupted.
"Well she leaves in 5 days" Ethan informed him, sadly. "So we're spending as much time together as possible". Grayson looked down at his lap. A sudden sadness in his eyes appeared like he completely forgot that I had to go back home eventually.
"I have to leave too yknow" Beth butted in again.
"I count the days" Ethan rolled his eyes. She scoffed and turned her attention back to the TV.Walking through shopping malls always gave me anxiety but walking through one with Ethan Dolan only made it worse. No one knew we were a couple yet. What if fans saw us? What if it started a whole load of drama?
I know Ethan didn't care what people thought. He loved me for me and for some reason, that brought me a little comfort in the situation.
Ethan's POV
Our fingers laced together as she squeezed my hand tightly.
"You okay?" I asked, hoping it'd comfort her even if only a little. She nodded but I could tell she was lying. I stopped walking, pulled her in front of me, wrapped my arm around her waist and lifted her chin with my other hand.
"Hey, everything's fine."
"I know" she smiled up at me.
"If you're worried about anyone saying anything, don't be." Her smile faded slightly. "I don't care what anyone has to say. No matter what I do, I'm always going to have someone giving me shit for it." I kissed her forehead. "Don't let it get to you, baby girl."After spending way too much money that I probably shouldn't have spent, we drove to an old park to hire a peddle boat. Her hand locked in mine as we slowly peddled around the lake. As much as I tried to take my mind off of it, I couldn't help but count down the days in my head until she left. Everytime I looked at her, I found myself studying little things about her in hopes I'd never forget them. Like the freckle she has under her left eye, the scar in her right eyebrow, the way her dimples deepen as she smiles...
I knew watching her board that plane would hurt like a bitch.
Honestly, I wasn't entirely sure if I'd be able to do it, if I'd be able to say goodbye to her knowing she'd be 6,000 miles away from my arms. And I knew for a fact that if she cried at that airport, I wouldn't be able to let her go. This month had gone so quickly with her, it was almost unfair. To bring something so perfect into my life only to take it away after such a short amount of time.
I didn't plan on falling for her but it was the best accident I'd ever made.
"I love you, Kyla. So much more than you'll ever know." She stopped peddling and smiled at me. I noticed her eyes tear up a little.
"And I love you, E". I kissed the back of her hand."I need to tell you something." Her eyes widened, wondering what I'd need to talk to her about. "But I don't want it to change anything between us... I'm telling you this because you deserve to know and I want you to trust me."
"You can talk to me, E" she reassured me. My head rested on the chair as I looked at her, a little deflated...I looked into her eyes as mine filled with tears, like it'd be the last time I'd get to be around her like this. Fear built up inside me as my stomach became a pit of emptiness.
"Grayson was going to tell you but I knew you should hear it from me..."
