Ethan's POV
"I love you, baby girl. I'm here for you always... You know I'd never hurt you like that, right?" She nodded and continued crying into my chest. Seeing her like this because of Gray again... I couldn't bear it anymore. He'd destroyed her for the last time.
After kissing Kyla on the cheek, I tried to walk out of the room but she grabbed my wrist and looked up at me with her tear stained face.
"Please don't leave..."
"I'm going to slap some sense into him. He can't date your fucking best friend!"
"Ethan..." She pulled on my arm. "Can we just go to our cliffs..." I sighed and wiped tears from her face with my thumb.
"Okay. If that's what you want, lets go." I took her hand and walked downstairs with her, she saw Gray and Beth sitting on the sofa together, watching Netflix like nothing happened. She hung her head and squeezed my hand, I smiled at her to comfort her, even though, deep down, I wanted to throw the both of them out of a window.

"Where are you going?" Gray said, looking directly at Kyla. I stood in front of her, blocking Gray's view.
"Out" I responded sternly.

The drive to the cliffs was silent. I'd look over to her but she'd always be leaning her head against the window, looking into the sky with sadness haunting her eyes. Reaching over to hold her hand, she looked at me with a weak smile. That was the only interaction the whole drive.

Arriving at the cliffs, I opened her door and helped her out of my old car.
"I miss your truck" Kyla joked.
"Me too" I sniggered. While I locked the car, she walked to the edge of the cliff alone. She stood with her back to me, arms folded, wind blowing through her hair. It reminded me of the first time we'd come here and the picture I took of her sitting next to the edge. Walking up to her, I wrapped my arms around her waist, held her close and rested my chin on her head.
"I've always loved it here, it makes me feel peaceful... A place to clear my head yknow?"
"This is where I feel closest to you" she replied. "I came here when we were arguing. I came here the day after Bonfire Night to clear my mind. Something about being alone up here, it's calming."
"I could be anywhere in the world, I'd be happy as long as I'm next to you." She turned around and smiled at me, still wrapped in my arms. She reached up to my face and stroked my cheek, looking deeply into my eyes and bit her lip.
"What?" I laughed.
"You deserve so much better than me, Ethan... You really do. I've been stupid."
"Yeah, you have, but you're not anymore. I'm sorry that it took Grayson dating your best friend for you to see what he's really like. He's not good for you, Kyla. He never was. I knew he'd do something like this..." She hung her head and sighed. I lifted her chin, forcing her to look at me.
"I won't hurt you the way he has, I promise. You know me, Kyla... The real me. I won't ever let anyone or anything hurt you. I've never felt this way about anyone. We work, I don't know what else I can do to prove that to you. If you'd just give me a chan-"
"Okay" She cut me off.
"What?"
"Okay, Ethan. You win." I smiled at her.

"I know you're still in love with Grayson, that's okay. I don't mind waiting." She nodded and smiled slightly. "I want you to be mine finally..."
"But I'm leaving soon. This is my last week and then I'm back in England... 6,000 miles away from you." I shook my head and laughed.
"I don't care, Kyla." I moved some hair from her face and leant my forehead against her's, pressing our noses together. "I won't ever be too far away from you. No matter how far apart we are, remember that I love you and nothing will change that. I'll follow you everywhere, you won't ever have to feel alone again." A tear rolled down her cheek, onto mine.
"Promise?" She smiled and held up her little finger. I laughed and hooked our fingers together.
"Pinky promise." Catching me off guard, she pressed her lips to mine and kissed me. I swear this was the happiest moment of my life. Time truly stood still. If she was the last thing I'd ever see, I'd be fine with it.

Pulling away, our breaths in sync, I whispered to her.

"You're mine now, my everything... I love you, baby girl."
"I love you sweet."

(REALLY QUICK NOTE: I know a lot of you don't like Beth - Let me point out that I'm NOT the Beth in this story. We share the same name but we are two VERY different people. Kyla's sarcasm and such is MY OWN. I'm more Kyla than Beth and I don't appreciate being attacked because the Beth in this story is a bit of a twat, Thankyou.

Anyway, Kythan finally happened 48 chapters later.😂
Is there any hope for Gryla now he's with Beth?😱

Please don't forget to vote!😊
I love you.💗)
