After Sean's burial, Ethan, Gray, Beth and I said goodbye to everyone and headed back to the car.
"Wait" Beth said.
"What?" Gray replied.
"Where was Cameron? I didn't see her at the funeral." Ethan looked at me and sighed.
"She didn't go" E told her.
"Why?"
"Mom said she couldn't handle it. She tried but kept breaking down..." Gray butted in.
"That's pathetic though.."
"What?!" Ethan raised his voice slightly, I held his hand and shook my head.
"I mean... I get it, she's upset, but she couldn't come to her own Dad's funeral? The fuck is up with tha-"
"Shut the fuck up!" I blurted out of nowhere, cutting Beth off in the process. Both twins looked at me with a little shock on their faces. I could tell that they both wanted to say the same thing to her however."What?" Beth laughed slightly from the front seat while looking at me through a mirror.
"Just stop talking" I replied to her a little softer this time.
"Why? Because I'm making sense? I know you tend not to, Kyla. Saying you're in one lane then switching to another 5 seconds later but some of us do make sens-"
"No. You need to shut the fuck up because you're being rude as fuck when you don't even know my family or the shit Kyla and I have been through together. You see what we've chosen to put on the internet, you have no idea what any of us have been through" Ethan's voice was stern and defensive. Beth didn't reply, she sank into the seat slightly and finally shut her trap. Ethan let go of my hand, slid his phone out of his suit pocket and began typing. After a few moments, my phone vibrated. Unlocking my phone, I saw E had texted me.'Daddy: How can he even stand to be with someone as shitty as her?'
I looked at him and shrugged.
'Thank you for defending me...' I replied.
'Daddy: It's fine babygirl. Ignore her, okay? I love you, that's all that matters.'
Beth's POV
Back at the Warehouse, I watched Grayson and Kyla cook dinner together whilst Ethan worked off any fustration he had in the gym. Call me crazy, but I swear Grayson's smile was always bigger with her. He always seemed to light up whenever she was in the room. I couldn't tell whether I was making it up or convincing myself at this point, all I knew is I felt myself slowly fall for him more everyday. I couldn't watch them anymore so I decided to go speak to Ethan for a while.
Walking into the gym, there he was, lifting weights shirtless and sweat dripping down his abs. He stopped to look at me and dropped the weight.
"Yes?" he sounded sarcastic.
"They're cooking... I guess I wanted someone to talk to" I replied walking closer to him. He laughed and shook his head.
"You've got the wrong guy babe, your boyfriend is in there."
"Yeah, so is your girlfriend" I shrugged.
"You really think after earlier, after you called my Sister pathetic, that I'd want to talk to you?" I couldn't reply to that, instead I changed the subject.
"Isn't it weird?"
"What's weird?" He replied, picking up his weights again.
"That Kyla's always been in Gray's lane yet she's with you." He stopped and dropped the weights again.
"If you're trying to piss me off the-"
"I'm not! I'm just saying" I smirked, he didn't reply, he just continued to stare at me.
"Yknow I was in your lane."
"Fantastic" he didn't seem to care.
"I guess... I guess I still am."Ethan's POV
I'm not sure what Beth was up to but I didn't like the way she smirked at me or the way she looked me up and down like she wanted to rip my clothes off. I'll be honest, I was only half paying attention to what she was saying."I guess... I guess I still am."
"What?" I laughed at her. She walked closer to me, twirling her hair and smirking until she was inches away from me. She reached up to stroke my face, I grabbed her arm and looked down at her.
"Cmon E, you can't say you haven't thought about it... Don't you miss sneaking around behind Gray's back?"
I sighed.
(Well shit...
