Hermione sipped her champagne, feeling the buzz of the liquid wash through her mouth and rush down the back of her throat.
She hummed, smiling, and gazed over at Draco who sat across the table, in a dashing white tuxedo, which highlighted the light shining down on his jelled hair.
He looked down, frowning slightly, his features disturbed.
"Something wrong, Sweetheart?"Hermione Asked, placing the glass onto the table with a small "clink".
He looked up, His focus ruined, and gave an uncertain, troubled smile, as if he where covering something up.
"I'm fine, babe"he mumbled.Hermione smiled sweetly to him, and leant across the table, taking his pale hand in hers.
"Tell me what's on your mind.."He flinched slightly, taking his gaze away from her, and grasping the pint glass in his hand, pulling it up against his lips, Hermione's hand falling to the table, and downing it all with a loud gulp and a sigh.
"I'm fine.."he hissed, eyes closed in frustration and sadness.Hermione furrowed her eyebrows, sitting back into her chair, and rolling her eyes.
'Something's wrong..' she thought, side eyeing him.He sat in his chair, his breath hitched and unsteady, and sweat laced thinly against his neck and forehead.
He began to whisper obsessively and pulled at his tie, before getting up unexpectedly and walking towards the men's room.
Hermione frowned again, looking sadly over at the door to the men's, and hastily grasped the bottle of champagne that sat cooling in the ice bucket, and downed it in desperation.
She gasped as the bottle came in contact with the table once more, drained of liquid. She ran a hand through her hair, and took a deep breath.
"Relax, Darling"said a deep cool voice.
She looked up, eyes wide. The young man was handsome, very handsome, in a crisp dark blue suit, a pristine black tie, and a black handkerchief shaped neatly in the breast pocket.
His jaw was chiseled perfectly and his teeth a pearly white shade.
His skin was olive like, like he had been in the sun for the exact amount of time, and his eyes where beautiful, a deep shade of lilac that you could get lost in.
His hair was jet black and shining in the light, jelled neatly into a quif."Care to dance, beautiful? Your date seems to have left you unaccompanied and seemed flustered"he smiled, crouching down to her, and taking her delicate hand within his.
Hermione blushed, shocked, and smiled.
"Oh, I'm sure he'll be back in a minute, he was just feeling a little Ill before we came..."she lied, her breathing increasing."Well then, would you like another drink? You seemed to have enjoyed the champagne"joked the young man, grabbing a chair and pulling it up to the table.
Hermione laughed, glancing at the empty large bottle of champagne and sighed.
"That wouldn't be necessary, sir, I'm sure he will be back any moment, if not then I'll just have to wait here all night,"The man smirked and shook her hand.
"Darling, you don't remember me do you, although I must say, I've been in the sun a little too long than I should have,"Hermione stared wide eyed at him, recognition Casting across her face like a shadow.
She gasped, squealing, and jumped onto him, pulling him into a tight hug."Oh my gods! John! I've missed you so much!"she cried, her head into his chest.
He laughed, holding her in place and rubbing her back affectionately.
"I know, I've missed you too, When I saw you at that book shop, my world stopped"he murmured when she pulled away."I can't believe I saw you the-"
