Hermione rolled around in her sleep, groaning and mumbling, her nightmares ebbing into her brain and creeping back into the dark corners of her mind.
She fisted the bed sheets, her sparkling rings glistening in the moonlight that shone from the window panes.
Thick layers of sweat smeared across her skin, her chest rose and fell rapidly, and she gasped, a thunderous pain flushing her body, the nightmares becoming her night Time reality.
Jaqueline lay in her cot, a few metres away from Hermione's bed, as they had moved to a new place- away from those locked up tormenting memories of Jack.
She bang to cry, crying names, mostly Draco's, sometimes it was Jack's, her breathing accelerated and she screamed, shooting up in bed, a migraine pounding harshly against her skull.
Hermione composed herself, tears spilling from her honey comb eyes, and her body began to shake and shiver, uncontrollably.
Her eyes widened as she breathed in her surroundings, the dresser and the bedside table, the photographs and the fluffy yellow duck on the table.
The nightmares had been coming back ever since she had broken up with Draco, and even carried on when she was happily married with Jack, it was the same nightmares every time.
Jaqueline stirred slightly, turning her head to the side, hummed and cooed, before drifting back into a deep sleep- which made Hermione envious of the small child.
She got out of bed, leaving the covers creased and scrunched, her bed drenched in sweat, the sky dark and musty as she went to open the windows, the twelve o'clock moon flying high in the air, twinkling stars dotted in the skies.
She inhaled the cold oxygen frothing from the windows and closed her eyes, the tears tracks on her face drying quickly, and she turned as Jaqueline murmured in her sleep, which turned to a giggle, although her sleep was dreamless.
Hermione sighed, a small smile on her face as she gazed at her baby, and sat down on the bed again.
"Merlin. . ."Hermione Whispered.
"Have Mercy. ."
