"

Hermione walked up the stairs quietly, and knocked thrice on the Scorpius' bedroom door.
"Scorpius? Darling are you there?"she asked, in a gentle voice.

She heard a sniffle from inside and gently opened the door, finding him sat down in his bed cross legged, and clutching a pillow to his chest.

Hermione closed the door when she stepped inside and kneeled down in front of him, placing a delicate hand on his cheek.
He frowned sadly, looking into Hermione's face with big wide silver eyes.

Hermione gave him a warm smile, wiping his tears with her thumb and pulled him into a long hug, kissing the top of his head.

"Why are you crying?"she whispered as Scorpius nestled into her chest, his tears drying in her purple jumper.

"Dad, Today.. he got mad at me.. I didn't mean to"he sobbed, fisting her jumper and letting out a loud cry.

"Oh Sweetheart,"she sighed, holding him closely.

"Everything's alright, there's no need to cry" she hummed softly, as they sat curled up, embracing each other in a long hug.

Hermione began to hum a light melody, calming Scorpius' nerves and sent him into a daze, grasping into her like she was his mother.
"Everything is alright,"she whispered again, running her hands up and down his back, soothingly.

Draco walked up the stairs, towards the bathroom, and overheard Hermione talking in Scorpius' room.
He ambled a little closer, hearing his son cry and Hermione comfort him gently.
He frowned in guilt and sucked in a deep breath, before Hermione slowly stepped out of the room after a while, turning off the bright lights in his room, which suddenly became quiet dark, and closed the door a fraction; leaving a gap.

"I told him to take a small nap, it helps"she whispered, walking down the stairs with Draco following Closely behind, towards Jaqueline who was lying on the floor on a play mat, giggling at the bright colours.

"What was that about?"Asked Draco sternly, his eyebrows furrowed.

"That, was about earlier today when you snapped at him for not knocking at my door"she sighed, sitting down on the couch, bring the small baby in her arms and pulling down her jumper, to uncover on half of her black and white polk-a-dot bra.

Draco sat down in front of her, on the coffee table in front of the television, his elbows on his knees.
".. you're good with him, you act like.. like you are his mother"

Hermione didn't say anything, but looked up into his face for him to continue.
"He knows you are not, he came to-"

"I know, He told me,"

Draco scoffed, a mocking grin on his face, rolling his eyes "of course he has".

"I'm just saying,-"

"I can't always be the good cop you know,"she interrupted, raising an eyebrow.
"It's not healthy,"

Draco chuckled and ran his fingers through his hair.
"I'm bad cop?"

"Yep!"
Hermione winced, Jaqueline was suckling, her nipples these days where feeling swollen and uncomfortable.
Draco bit his lip, before leaning in a pressing his lips to Hermione's, and sitting down next to her, arm draped over the back of the couch.
"Having kids is hard,"

"Correction, Kids Are baby goats,"Hermione groaned, rolling her eyes at the most obvious thing in the world, and leant backwards into his arm, her head in his shoulder.
"And yes, Having children is hard," she agreed.

Suddenly, Blaise appeared with a small Pop in the living room, looking exhausted, and groaned, before his face lit up for a brief second.
"It's Christmas Day in twelve days,"he sighed, checking his watch.
Hermione chuckled to herself, leaning her head back and closing her eyes, Draco grinned and kissed her cheek, as Blaise trudged up the stairs, mumbling about death eaters and their annoying appearances.
